Otaktay had been livid at the thought of losing his prey this curse had cost him a prize trophy and his rebels had lost his bargaining chip with the royal family . When he had heard that the Royal family had a litter of pups born he had sent his rebels in to kidnap as many of the pups as they could, they had been caught in the act and chased down in the end a few rebels survived with two of the pups. Two of the pups were taken away from the Royal family while still nursing so the rebel women were set to caring for the pups , he regretted not sending the pups to his turned women in the village of the forsaken due to the rough treatment of the pups they ran away in the darkness of the night with the help of a young witch girl that used puppets to fool his wolves. In his anger Otaktay decided he would try to connect with the one they called "Lone Vampire Lionel" who was said to have a unique ability that allowed him to walk in sunlight . He had decided that while he searched for a new potential mate with the strength to overcome his enemies in the North he would find and befriend Lionel the Lone Vampire who walked in the daylight.
Keokuk could not follow his enemy to new or far lands so instead he decided he would leave it up to the Magic users and the great wolf council. The small group he was now with had come up with their own type of council, they had been considering putting together for the sake of peace for all of their people. There were three major families involved from each background they had in mind they would have the human Elders of each town representing the humans, then there was the prominent families of each magic council his current travelling buddies would be the representatives for their Circles, there was also going to be Shaman from every town as well . The Greysons were a large family there were seven Alpha's currently ruling over packs in the country , The Hilasmus once run by Kono Greyson the Eldest Brother of the Greysons was now being run by Motono Greyson and The Thusia pack run by Koki Greyson, The Kekouan run by Keokuk , The Lynuk pack run by Jemma Greyson, The Lumas run by Lukas Greyson, The Korma run by Kormac Greyson and lastly the youngest of the siblings Kira Greyson Alpha of the Willowa. They all had constant contact and often did joint training camps in the summer and winter. They were now setting up to have a meeting to discuss the Rogues most importantly Otaktays Rebel Rogue Pack who was a huge danger to not only their families and packs but the Royals as well as the humans neighboring the packs. Otaktay had been infected with the werewolf curse from eating innocent human flesh his saliva could turn innocents into werewolves , he turned an entire village into werewolves ruling that village with an iron fist. The villagers had no wolves of their own for the most part and a good many of them had tried to kill themselves when their man folk had been taken away. The only good thing that seemed to come out of the terrible situation was that the villagers were not contagious only those truly evil and vile were cursed without being able to be close to others without turning them and when that happened usually the person turned into werewolves hated them , attempted to kill themselves or both before running away from their villages.
There were currently Witches, Werewolves, Hunters and Crows keeping eyes on the Cursed wolves trying to kill them all before they could tip the balance of the great scales. There could be evil in the world but it must never outweigh the good, Witches usually dealt with their own bad and left the non humans to figure things out between them unless asked otherwise. However in Amani's case the magic community considered her as one of them, the Shaman it would seem were part of their community; they were known as Masters of the Spirit though normal everyday white folks called them Mediums. The village Shaman often called white "Mediums" Con artists unless they could pass one of their tests they never gave the same test twice so that no one could trick them . The crows had informed the group they had seen Amani heading North and so they were currently working on making contact with all the packs that she may pass through as well as letting the Royal family know what was currently going on . They debriefed everyone on everything that had happened with Amani since she was orphaned, everyone had learned something new about Amani that meeting, Motono was surprised when he heard Amani had been turned into a werewolf. Motono had been so angry and yet part of him had become hopeful, now that she was also a wolf as well as a Witch she would definitely make a good Wife and Co-leader she would be able to protect the pack along side him with ease, he had been sure she had to be his mate since he had never found his mate no matter how far he travelled. He remembered how there had been a connection that day he found her in the tree covered in debris and blood, she hadn't cried trusting him completely from the very start , he hoped that once they met again he would know for sure if she was his destined mate. Motono was the only Alpha that was going to continue on the journey to hopefully catch up to Amani in the North , he would be the representative for the Greyson's who were not only her protectors but also her legal guardians as well. The fact he was possibly her mate had passed his father's mind as he had recalled joking with his dear friend her father about them being promised to one another in the future. He had been joking but he wondered if maybe his friend had been serious after all , maybe those words spoken by Lakota Grace to Kono had sparked into life from his desire to always love and protect Amani even in his death. There was no love more powerful than that of a parent and one who could interact with spirits had to have a few tricks up his sleeve and so Motono prayed "please Lakota Grace watch over your daughter until I can get to her side" feeling fatigue over come him his eyes slid shut and he fell into a dream of wondrous proportions.
