Chitomi Village was under attack and the cries of it's people rang out into the night across the water and into its neighbouring villages. The village people coward in fear huddling in the park they did the only thing they could for their fellow people they prayed to their moon goddess for help and mercy. There wasn't a soul who was willing to go see what was happening to their neighbours , none willing to try to lend a helping hand too scared of what would happen to them if they did fearing what may still happen to them because they didn't. No regular man would have stood a chance against the brutal savages that had attacked the village but the only people who knew that were the wolves that did go to Chitomi that night. The Hilasmus pack had come running when the smell of the dead and blood had hit. The people of the village had always treated them well living alongside them as peaceful brothers and sisters to their wolf pack. They battled alongside their friends and neighbours against the most brutal and vile of human and werewolf enemies alike , Vampires. The vampires had slowly started to make their presence known in the past few years and no one knew why they had decided to start occupying Lunae their country had never had issues with the Vampires before but then a few moons back they had been sighted in Lunaria and Lupine and now here they were in their very own Chitomi. As the numbers of the vampires increased they called their brothers across the water the Thusia pack for help. The battle had lasted until the sun had peaked in the sky and those who hadn't died from stakes to their hearts, beheading and from being torn apart by the wolves turned to ash. The townspeople had seemed to have all perished; the wolves had transformed then and went about stacking the dead and burning them in pyres they could not risk their human brother's being turned into the undead. As Motono Greyson surveyed his surroundings he wiped blood from his brow “The filthy vermin have killed every last one of them from what I can tell” standing at 5'7 the 14 year old future Alpha was tasked with going through every hut , log house and cabin in the village to see if any survivors remained. As his name suggested he had been the first on the scene when he was out for a late night stroll hoping to get one of his favorite meals from a local man, he had caught the horrific smell of rotten decaying flesh , howled and ran towards the smell . Motono had arrived just in time to see the brightly burning red eyes of the creature before they bent down and bit into a young girl of no more than 8 . Enraged he howled a battle cry and pounced on the vampire detaching his head from his body before he had time to even blink. As a Greyson Motono was bigger in stature than a regular werewolf of his age, he had been training with all the Greyson family Alphas since he was three years old he wouldn't be taken down easily. The vampires in the vicinity had turned to him with hatred in their eyes not a second later his father and the pack's Beta Simon had jumped in front of him growling at the intruders. “Go protect the children '' his father had told him telepathically and so he had run to the middle of the village when the children would have been gathered for their bedtime stories by the elders before their parent's would have taken them off to their respective homes. “Waahhhhh! Waaaahhhh!” the cry startled Motono out of his revelry “There's a survivor ! Dad, someone made it!” he yelled, feeling more alive than he had in the past hour. As he was looking around him he noticed other members of the Hilasmus pack looking around trying to locate what sounded like an infant fussing. He listened carefully to the cries and located the child up above them in the tree, The Village shaman's home was a tree house and this was their baby girl Amani crying . Going upstairs he approached her cautiously , she was sitting on the floor with her strawberry hair a tangled mess of blood, mud , salt and wild burrs. She was a young child of only 2 years old, had a light tan , gray eyes and strawberry roan hair, she was rather striking for such a young child “hi there Amani , remember me ? I am Motono and I am going to take you somewhere safe okay, come see me princess” he held his arms out to her while kneeling on the floor, Amani smiled brightly running into his arms “there's a good girl” he said holding her in his arms he went down the ladder where everyone had gathered waiting to see the sole survivor of the Grace/Moon family and future leader of the Chitomi village. “The child can't stay here anymore brother, it is not safe for her. I can take her to the Kekouan our brother can watch over her there , they have more pack members to protect her there than both of our own packs” Motono held Amani while she slept he didn't want her to leave but knew his uncle Koki was speaking the truth Keokuk Greyson was the most alert and watchful of all the wolves he knew , she would be under the Greyson family protection as Shaman Grace had always been a true friend and ally to all the wolves in and around the village. “We owe her to keep her safe but how can we send her so far from the only home she has ever known ?” his mother was watching her sleep in his arms tenderly as he spoke, he knew she had always wanted a daughter but had so far only given birth to sons he was the second eldest out of those sons. “before we do anything let's first make sure Keokuk is okay with this we would also have to get the okay from their Shaman as well that is what her destiny was meant to be we can't steal that away from her” his father spoke with all the authority of the Alpha he was and his uncle also an Alpha looked at his Beta “Get someone to go back to the house and pack everything up leave nothing behind” Zen nodded his head towards two tawny wolves “ you two there, you heard the Alpha go pack the house get more to help you if it's too much for both of you to do within 30 minutes” Motono held baby Amani close sitting beneath the tree waiting for further instruction on what would happen next. Miles away in Lunaria Keokuk was watching as his wife fed their son Dakota when his brow furrowed as he listened to his brother on the other end of the phone “what's happened?” Cheyenne asked her husband knowing that look could mean nothing good “My brother's tell me the Chitomi Village have all been slaughtered by vampires – all but one child that is” shocked she took a seat “They want us to accept the human child here in the village , with the shaman as her parents were the Shaman in Chitomi ” She didn't let her husband finish talking she was already grabbing Dakota and heading for the door “I will go speak to Kita and the village elder on the matter you go meet them halfway to pick up the child” Keokuk would never dream to argue with his wife at 6' tall she was the tallest female in the pack when in human form and although she was a very compassionate and loving woman she had a very stern no nonsense side to her. She could easily turn from the sweetest loving woman there was to a rabid beast in a single breath. “Cheyenne has spoken , she insists you bring the child immediately, she will take care of the rest just get the child here safely and watch your backs ” the brother's spoke a few more minutes before hanging up the phone. He would have his best driver come with him to take over driving the moving truck they would be hiring once the boat docked in his brother Koki's territory.
