Otaktay was furious he had been sleeping peacefully when he was awakened by his underling frantically babbling about a fire in the hospital and the girl was either dead or missing. He had stormed down to the hospital with his pack and had them join the search and rescue party half of the hospital was burned to a crisp with beams and parts of the roof now on the ground in heaps of soot covered debris. As he walked around the building he looked for any signs she might have fled when a Doctor he knew approached him “Otaktay sir terribly sorry , But the odds for that girl aren't that good she was displaying an extremely high fever no human was ever likely to recover from without some form of brain damage.” he licked his lips nervously before continuing on “she had been sedated with morphine not even 10 minutes before the fire broke out and if she had managed to get out in her delirium she would have probably drowned in the river or gotten lost and possibly died in the surrounding forest” Otaktay was furious but knew better than to take his anger out on a non werewolf for they died too fast for him to get enough satisfaction out of it no he would wait until he got back to the castle and then torture his man that was supposed to be keeping watch over her while she was in the hospital. That unfortunate pup was going to wish he was never born .He would have to contact Nuka and see if maybe the mage could track the girl he had shamanic powers so he should be able to find out if the girl was alive or not. And if she proved to be alive he would hunt her down again and make her regret running from him because no matter what he would have her as his mate not one of the women he had laid with until then had ever given birth to an Alpha quality child but somehow he felt she would give him that heir and together with his son they would go and crush that Snow clan in the North and rule over all other clans in doing so. Everyone had gathered in a house rented for their stay mapping out what they would be doing when Motono and Dakota both clutched their heads at the same time, Motono gasped it was the same vision he had seen all those years ago where Amani was crying in the rain in a uniform asking for help . Dakota had never experienced anything like what he had just gone through although he had heard about it, his father and uncle had both described it before it had been a jarring and overwhelming thing to go through . “Something has happened she's not here anymore” Motono said through clenched teeth “I agree she's not here anymore but we still need to do our due diligence to these people and investigate what happened and where she might have gone, and we should see about that asshole that brought her all the way here kill him if we can the werewolf counsel has let him keep his life for far too long” Dakota said sternly disturbed by the image of his life long friend looking so lost and hurt. Zonta was restless pacing back and forth while the Magi were out about the village taking care of their responsibilities her group had to lay low as Otaktay had seen them all before and would catch on to them and their mission to rescue Amani. When it was confirmed that he and his goons were gone they went to the hospital to see if they could gather any clues, while there they met Miss Myra and her young daughter who told them that they had spoken to a young patient who claimed not only had Amani the life of but that she saw her run off in the direction of the water. They also heard talks about how a shaman had been by the hospital and was performing rites of passage for the departed who had not made it out of the fire. “ The fire was caused by magic , by the looks of it I would venture to say that her extreme fever manifested in the real world while her mind was in the realm of the elements” Richard was saying to Rose “the fauns have told me she went East across the water and through the forest there is a werewolf village about a day away from here I heard Otaktay had turned the whole village years ago but that he often returns to collect male children or very good looking girls” Rose looked thoughtful okay so this is what we should do then tonight we will go to the hospital and fix the building with earth magic and then we will go across the water and they can start trying to track her scent while we ask the fauns and sylphs for their help as well, she has at most 2 days head start on us but we have a head start over Otaktay as well so let's use it to our advantage” They all nodded their heads in agreement her plan was the best one they had at the moment and it would have to do until they could come up with a better one. Amani had become a werewolf she had hoped Maeve had been wrong but that next night she had transformed , it had been painful it felt like her very soul was on fire and the view from the inside out took some getting used to it felt odd being a wolf and yet she enjoyed it too . She had covered so much ground while in her wolf form and hadn't felt that some bone deep tiredness that she had decided to use her wolf form overnight find a good hidden place to sleep during the day in her human form and did some fortune telling to earn some money or a meal . She was going North as she had been advised to do she had seen a few wolves as she crossed what she had learned were wolf territories. For a majority of the time she was left alone they looked at her in amazement then went on their way muttering “touched by the mother goddess ignore her” or “the moon goddess smiles on her” and they would go off leaving her on her own . She couldn't remember how long she had been walking or running, she would spend a bit of time learning things from people she met about the current place she was traveling through then be on her way. Currently she was in a fishing village and she had met a nice orphaned girl willing to teach her different ways to catch and cook fish with magic, Leya taught her a spell that lured the fish to her net with a bit of an illusion or by pushing them along with the current. During the night she practiced hunting in her wolf form, catching the fish was easier for her in her human form since the damage wasn't as severe to the fish but eating the fish in her wolf form she did not need to cook it. She preferred keeping a low profile by avoiding cooking the fish so that the smoke of a fire couldn't notify people of her whereabouts, she was traveling through the water at night in hopes of covering her scent from any wolves pursuing her.
