Amani slept for what felt like hours in her dream. She was meeting all her loyal elemental subjects. They adored her, even those tricky, normally mean ones appeared to like her well enough. She was warm and felt comfortable so she slept on , only waking when her stomach would no longer be ignored as it roared loud enough for the whole carriage to hear it. At the sound of rambunctous laughter she opened her eyes to see not only was it day time but everyone was in the carriage with her and Zonta was doubled over in a fit of uncontrollable laughter. "I thought there was a bear outside" Zonta teased while Rue pushed a meal towards her, her stomach growled loudly again . Once Zonta had finally settled down, Amani looked at her friend, happy to see her smiling. "What will you do now that you know a bit more about your story?" Zonta looked determined, which made Amani proud to see "I will search for my mother. She has been loving and missing me all this time. I owe it to her to find her and show her I am alive . Show her I am healthy living a good life she can be proud of. I mean I am practically an adopted sister of the Queen of all queens. I think that is pretty impressive, right?" Amani laughed at her. "That is true, being the childhood best friend to the queen and being her sister is pretty awesome, but do not forget the most important thing is that you are one of my nobles. " she made sure that even if she was ravenous she still ate politely Dakota handed her some water " Mingen, Zonta and I will be going together for our adulthood journey, when we come back we will be viewed of adults in the pack" she smiled at him "then you will take over as Alpha from your father right " she smiled with pride "who would have thought my little friend wolfie would grow up to one day lead a wonderful pack in my kingdom" she laughed "when you take your place as Alpha I will host a ball in your honor so that if you have not found your mate by then you may find her and share in your new life as a leader together" she said Dakota smiled and blushed slightly he had always had a crush on her , he had the feeling that had something ever happened to Motono before they had met he would have probably been her second chance mate. Gina, however, knew differently. Dakota had felt the way he had because of his blood. The blood in her veins called out to the Greyson bloodline , her soulmate had always been a Greyson since the day her maiden purity had been given of freewill to one. She had originally been born with no soulmate. She had originally not wanted a mate as she was so busy caring for the children of her world. Then her body had been defiled and she bore her first child. She had thought she would hate it, but she could never hate a child, let alone a female, but she feared the pain her daughter might have to endure at the hands of a male and so she went about putting a spell on her daughter . The spell was in two parts. The first was that she would remain in wolf's skin as long as men were around and she could not protect herself. The second was that she would have no interest romantically or otherwise in a man unless he had a pure soul. If the man truly wished for her well being from the bottom of his soul, they would be bonded to one another. The man would have to be able to be the perfect balance to her daughter so that they completed each other in the utmost fulfilling way , body, heart, mind and soul eternally. The first time she was reborn, she still did not have a soulmate and wished to have no involvement with men. However, upon bearing witness to the love her own parents had for one another, she wondered what it would be like to have that for herself. In this life, too, she had fallen victim to a man, believing that they would be married. He tricked her into getting drunk and having his way with her before he ran off never to be seen again. This time she gave birth to a son. She had been mad at first but decided she would work on making her werewolf children better than human men, so once again, she cast a spell on her son and all other werewolf men . The spell this time was that of loyal devotion. Their wolves would protect their families and women. They would not cheat their women once they gave their word to them . Throughout her many lives, the goddess had lived bespelling her children in all walks of life. The results of some of those spells were evident in the world Amani was currently living in . The way the royals did not shift until their wolves could protect themselves, the mate bond, the fact the only way you could be happy with someone was if you never found your true mate before them . The minute you met your mate and had your moment of discovery, no one would ever be good enough for you again, as long as your mate was alive. There were potential mates all over the world for every person , but sometimes two souls made pacts to always stay true to one another and so they would meet again. That was the case for Amani and Motono, whereas someone else could be paired with anyone who suits what their match requires if the souls have never felt complete completion with a partner before. It was a matter of who met first and how they connected. The soul knew long before the heart and mind if they would bond with the person . Once the soul knows, it is just a matter of the moment of discovery happening. In some cases, the wolves are too young to realize they have had a moment of discovery and so it will happen again when they are between the ages of 15 and 18. If they still haven't come to accept the bond or notice it there , they will have another discovery around 25. That discovery usually involves a vision of their future together, making it very clear they are soulmates. Some souls decide they only want their partners for one lifetime as well. If one of the soulmates is much older than their partner, they may have an instant discovery upon meeting, much like what happened with Motono and Amani. Gina was watching Dakota reading the thoughts in his mind. She took over Amani's body, looked him in the eyes and said " You will find your mate, she will be everything you have longed for and more. She will definitely be worth the wait." Dakota looked at her with wide eyes, then said " worth the wait? Oh man please don't tell me I'm going to be a virgin as long as cousin Motono has been." Amani choked on her food. Zonta patted her back. Gina did not resurface after that, leaving Dakota to worry about how long he would have to wait for his mate, remembering his mother's words that it really boosted a shewolf's pride when her mate waited for her to have s*x for the first time. Word of what Dakota had said made its way to Motono's ears and so he made sure Dakota got an extra hour of training with him. "We will keep you so exhausted you wont have time to worry about being a virgin. It's an honor to be able to save yourself for your soulmate, just as she will hopefully wait for you as well", he told his younger cousin "I lead my pack as a strong Alpha. Do you think they care if I have had s*x or not? no one is thinking about that s**t or worrying about it, so just forget about it, focus on your mission and all the dangers lurking in the darkness." Marthius nodded at his Alpha's words "he's right, you know, plus it's even better when you get to share those feelings with the person you are destined to be with , when it finally happens it's like your souls become one" both Dakota and Motono gave him the stink eye knowing he had done the deed already with Rue. They turned away from him, they were ignoring him. " Five more minutes let's go eat!" Dakota said before launching himself at Motono. " Okay sounds like a plan", he responded, as they tried out new moves they had just been testing.
