Otaktay's Return

No one from the Kekuoan pack could believe Amani was mated with Motono , where as his father and one brother seemed to have expected it. They had all been talking among themselves about the matter when their hosts had come over to speak with them. "I am so thankful that you have cared for and protected my niece this whole time. I could never thank you enough for keeping her safe." Keokuk smiled at her. " Her parents were important friends to us. We had promised we would be their subjects after all. The help and protection they had given us showed their pure hearts " "Koki and Kono both nodded their heads. Her father was a kindred soul. Although he had no wolf of his own, he was our brother. " Kono spoke with a serious voice before looking towards the couple with pride. "They will rule the land's well." everyone nodded in agreement. Amani felt on edge. She could not settle down and relax, nor could Motono. He had a feeling things were not going to run smoothly for their first public event as a royal couple. "Ladies and gentleman, it is now time for Amani, Rufus and Pearl to come sign the family book.". The room quieted as the king spoke. The three younger royals all stood and walked up the stairs, youngest to eldest in a single file. They each pricked their fingers and made a bloody finger print next to their names. Amani watched in amazement as the writing appeared next to her finger print. The moment of truth came. Then, when she saw next to her title "Queen & Goddess", the book shut, then vanishing seemingly into thin air then they heard the warning call of enemies invading their territory as howls and alarms rang loudly "GET ALL CHILDREN TO SAFETY!". The queen called out. They had managed to get all the weak and old safely hidden underground. Amani recognized his scent long before she saw him. She heard Gina growling inside her head. "Otaktay is here," she told Motono, who stood next to her. Their protectors surrounded them. No one would have thought they were werewolf royalty with the parade of interesting bodyguards they had. It wasn't only her elemental guardians protecting them, but all the Greysons in attendance tonight were also surrounding them in a large circle. Amani's Aunt and Uncle were also in the circle when the doors to the great hall were opened and Otaktay and his minions all stood there with hungry looks on their faces. "Now this is a welcome party" Otaktay said, picking up a leg of meat off a table and biting off a piece of it, letting the juice drip down his chin. "mmm now that is a good piece of meat " as he spoke his eyes wondered over Amani he recognized her his evil smile stilled looking shocked "how are you still alive? I was told you died. Why do you not have my scent? I turned you into a cursed one." Gina's voice rang out Amani's mouth as she spoke "someone like you could never turn me into a cursed wolf. " Her eyes flashed from green to black. "You were banned from these lands , yet you dare to return here even after you stole away Royal pup's and kidn*pped the Future Queen of someone else's territory" "Future Queen ? you?" he laughed loudly "I knew there was a reason I had wanted you redheads are always royalty, I am going to force you to mate with me and birth my children " Motono and all the other wolves growled "ATTACK!" he yelled to his army as everyone started fighting their circle never left an opening for them to reach Amani and Motono . Amani was using her magic while Motono was guarding her back , the elves and salamanders were killing their enemies.. The smell in the air was putrid. There were burnt corpses on the ground all over and burning wolves running around howling. Magic fire can only be put out by magic after all. After what felt like hours of fighting, the enemy forces had thinned but the gap had gotten wider between Amani and her protectors . Otaktay felt like he finally had his chance and went to strike her when a fire burnt through his head and he cried out in agony. He could feel blood dripping down his face before he could register what was happening. His head was torn from his body by a very large version of Shay. Blood sprayed everywhere, but before it could touch anyone, fire flared up, blocking anyone from being touched by his cursed blood. River and Aqua washed away all signs of the battle . Any remaining wolves fled from the castle . Guards ran after and captured fleeing rogues, bringing them to the dungeons. When everyone was deemed safe and had any injuries, they may have cleaned , purified with moon water and healed. They allowed the children to come back out. Once all the guests had returned to the hall, cheers went around the hall for all those who had fought. "Sadly, we have lost some of our fighters. We will hold a funeral pyre under the moonlight in the back gardens. The enemies have already been taken care of. We thank you all for your brave, courageous fighting spirit and the sacrifice you have made for all of our safety. We are greatly indebted to you all." the King spoke with a solemn expression. "Let us take some time in silent prayer for those we lost" the Queen spoke out in a voice full of pain , losing her people, hurt as their queen, the queen, was connected to all her people . Amani was crying, hugging Motono, who also had tears in his eyes. They could feel the loss and the blood seeping into the earth they had bound themselves to. " We need to purify the earth". The elves stepped forward, closing their eyes. They held hands and as they chanted something no one could understand or hear, they watched in awe as the blood soaked into the earth came up like little blobs of mud. The salamanders came, then burned them until it turned into ash. The elves then swept it up and Shay, now in her normal size, flew off with it. The salamanders lit the pyres to the dead wolves as the fires burned. Amani had a weird sensation. With her eyes closed. She prayed, "children of earth , heaven and the moon, let your souls bloom and be renewed." as her eyes opened she saw silver globes leaving the pyres entering wolf females . Amani went to each of the females who were all relatives of the dead, usually their wives or daughters or daughters-in-laws. She would hug them. Then whisper in their ears. " Take good care of yourself, you will bring new life into this tragedy. The souls of your loved ones are with you now." the family members would look shocked, then happy and they would wipe their tears . She even heard some of their prayers. She was a goddess that protected the weak , she was a reborn goddess that was worshipped by women all over the earth, the earth her first life had created. She returned to Motono's side and leaned against him. "I've used just about all my energy ", she said, before she fainted. All the excitement and stress of the day had finally caught up with her and so she gave in to her body and its need for rest, knowing she was safe . Knowing Motono would make sure she was taken care of as best as possible.
