The next morning, Amani woke to find the dress she would wear to the ball. It was a beautiful dress based on their tribe's fancy dresses. She made sure she had a beautiful ribbon ready and waited for the maid. She would have her hair braided with feathers and beading. Due to her pale skin, she looked as though she was in cosplay , but these were her father's people's clothes and she would wear them proudly. That will happen in 2 days. Tomorrow she will officially become queen of the elementals. She would worry about the ball after she got through her coronation. For now she would get dressed in normal clothes and join the rest for breakfast , then she would do self-study to work on her magic some more. As she left her room she saw Motono , Rue and Marthius walking down the hall. "Good morning", she called out behind them "good morning", they responded back happily. Motono smiled at her warmly waiting for her to reach his side before he started to walk towards the dining hall again. They made their way to their waiting breakfast in silence, nodding to the guards before entering the dining hall. No one on the council knew what was going to be taking place tonight. Being werewolves, they were not openly privy to the ways and workings of the elemental beings' ways of life. Some didn't even know much about their existence, as they were so guarded against magic it had absolutely no effect on them at all , they couldn't even see an elemental being if it was standing on their nose. Many humans were the same way as long as they held no belief in certain beings or forces, they could do them no such harm. Vampires could hurt any and everyone, but there was some protection provided for other races and species. A vampire can not just enter a human home, they must be invited in by the human. The worst type of enemy was the invisible kind, the evil dark magic users and dark elementals like the dark earth elementals that could suck you down into the depths of the earth and show you the scariest nightmares you had ever seen in ghouls , goblins, and other clay-like horrors. There were the evil Salamanders that would set beds on fire while people were still sleeping in them, ghosts that would haunt dreams, some that even haunted you during your waking hours, depending on your sensitivity to their presence. She was trying to figure out just how she would rule over those types as their queen. She was going to have to make some compromises. She could not punish them for their dark natures. There must always be a constant balance between good and evil after all. And so she would allow them some of their fun, but they could not interfere with the destiny of those they went after. There were places all over the world for dark souls to legally and without much danger to the completely innocent to get their jollies.
Nuka had not been aware of the super-natural forces following him with their invisible eyes. The salamanders in particular were keeping a very close watch on him. He had many souls captive and had set their hate and vengeance towards the castle. His plan was to give everyone nightmares all night for the next two nights, so they would be so exhausted on the night of the ball they would be careless and clumsy. He would then slip in amongst the guests as her sole relative on her father's side. There was no way they would kick him out, even if they could see his darkness or smell it. He would have some ghosts continue haunting people in the palace but make it so that his room was next to Amani's. The ghost would not haunt her when he was near. This should encourage her to stay by his side, he thought to himself. He smiled evilly at the rows of graves that had souls floating above them. Some of these souls were here from before the kingdom was ever created and they were angry at their defeat . Some of the souls were Otaktay's own ancestors, which made Nuka smile. He hated the mutt after all, so holding the souls of his ancestors captive was a joy for him like no other. Nuka had been trying to call Keisha Moon's soul to him, but no matter how long and hard he tried, he had never been able to find her. He was convinced she had been reborn, but he still hadn't been able to find her soul anywhere on the earthly planes. He was mad because he could not locate his twin brother's soul either. As his twin, he had thought it would be the easiest thing in the world, but he had been thwarted. Nuka had always hoped he could trap his brother's soul when he was killed, so that he could not be reborn. He wanted his brother to watch as he stole away and defiled everything he had ever loved as punishment for stealing away the only woman he had ever loved, as well as his rightful place as king. He hadn't been able to do anything as the werewolves had come to the rescue that day , they had stolen away his brother's body and his soul had gone somewhere before he could trap it. If he hadn't known better, he would have said the werewolves had done some sort of magic on his brother that guarded his soul from being forcefully taken away. As he sat in his study going over all his potions a thought suddenly struck him , " Maybe it wasn't the wolves but my own mother who prevented me from reaching their souls." He gritted his teeth at the thought he knew very little about his mother these days. The darker his soul got, the less he could remember about her as she was part of the path of light when her son had been murdered. She had gone under ground completely vanishing from the world,, as far as he knew, she had died from her golden child's death. Once she had realized he was a dark path follower, her love for him had diminished in his eyes, as did his love for her.
Zonta was excited she would finally be seeing her best friend and soul sister. They had arrived in Azyra and were amazed at all the different types of people living together. " Wow, I bet this is what our kingdom will be like." Tala spoke excitedly, their group would be at the palace early as special guests invited by Amani herself. The children had never traveled so far from their homes before, so it was a thrilling journey for them . Tala had also been excited because she could finally see Amani in her human form, something she hadn't previously gotten to do in order to keep her werewolf identity safe. The whole pack had had a meeting before they had left for the palace. The meeting was held with all their allies, who had all agreed that should Amani decide it they would all join her Kingdom. Even the newly formed Meta had agreed they would join, under her rule, as the villagers all remembered Amani from before and deemed her worthy of their loyalty . All the witches had also agreed they would stay and be part of a new kingdom as long as they could have the same lifestyles they currently enjoyed. Once Otaytak and the other enemies were taken care of, they would all swear their lives to Amani and her kingdom. Everyone felt excited and hopeful for the day they would all be joined together under her rule, for they all knew how fair , loyal and kind Amani was. They knew she would be the best queen she could be for all of their benefits. Now they would patiently wait for her to live up to their high regards and trust in her leading them into a brighter and better future.
