A chance encounter
As the morning sun cast its golden beams through the towering skyscrapers of the city, two strangers found themselves crossing paths unexpectedly. The air was filled with anticipation and a hint of curiosity, as if a hidden force was drawing them together.
The man, tall and imposing, was dressed in a sharp suit, his eyes scanning the bustling streets with a focused determination. The woman, petite yet radiating confidence, walked with a purposeful stride, her gaze meeting his.
The man's heart skipped a beat, his breath catching in his throat. The woman appeared just as taken aback, her eyes widening ever so slightly. They stood frozen for a moment, their gazes locked in this unexpected connection. People bumped into them, their bags grazing against each other's legs, but they barely noticed, their focus solely on each other.
The man's gaze flicked to her face, taking in every little detail.the curve of her jaw, the way her hair fell around her shoulders, the subtle flush of color across her cheeks. He felt a strange sensation, a mix of familiarity and wonder. It was as if his soul recognized hers, even though he knew they had never met before.
The woman seemed similarly captivated, her eyes not leaving his for a single moment. Sudden emotions danced across her face, confusion and curiosity swirling in her eyes.
The man wanted to break the silence, to say something anything but the words died on his tongue. He was never one for being lost for words, but something about this woman had rendered him speechless.
Just when the silence became too much to bear, a loud horn from a passing truck jolted them both back to reality. The man shook his head as if to clear his thoughts. He could feel the woman doing the same, her expression turning from one of fascination to slight embarrassment.
The man took a deep breath, running a hand through his hair. He was used to being composed in any situation, but this one had thrown him completely off-balance.
"I... I'm sorry," he finally managed to say, his voice sounding rough in his own ears. "I didn't mean to stare. You just... you looked familiar."
The woman's expression softened, her embarrassment fading slightly. She shook her head with a small smile.
"It's alright. I was just as caught off guard as you were," she replied. "I can't explain it, but... there's something about you that feels strangely familiar."
