Strange Dreams

900 Words
I sat along side a calm and untouched beach. There was nothing but ocean and sand for miles. Everything is undisturbed. Like a calm before the storm. "It's almost like being in another world. Some place perfect, but not nearly."     "You are right child." A soft, velvet voice came from behind me. Turning, a women stood there. She wore nothing but white. I became more curious than confused. She smiled at me. "This is a world bwtween worlds. It's nothing, yet it is everything. This represents what our hearts desire. In this case, you desire a place where peace surrounds you, but it will boring to you over time."     "This is so weird. Who are you?" I asked. Walking to stand by my side, she motioned for us to walk. "And why is this place a world between worlds?"     "I am known as Magic, but you can call me BlueMoon. The universe is made up of different worlds. Some times, in order to know that there are other worlds, you must dreams them. This world is the one that is more in dreams. It is very rare to come to this world. Only those with the strongest of hearts have crossed into this world."     "Oh. Why am I here and should I be more worried than I am curious?" I asked. BlueMoon laughed. "Neil says my curiosity will get me killed one day."     "Killed? No. Into dangerous situations probably. You do things in your own way and you know where the line draws thin. The reason as to why your here, well, that is one thing you will soon come to know. I am here to tell you that I will be your guide. I have watched you and your friends for sometime now. You are all special and know how to take control of your lives."     "That can't be the only reason. We're just teenagers finding our place in this world. Our families weren't the greatest, well, except Adrian's family. His family is really supportive but they are also a little crazy." I explained with a laugh.     "You are right about that not being the only reason, but where would the fun be if I told you everything. The answers lie within the adventures, and so does the fun." She gained a knowing look which followed by a look of concern.     "Other worlds...does that mean there is a world full of magic, and my world is the stupid planet that doesn't have magic?" I asked in annoyance. BlueMoon laughed and nodded in amusement. "Man, I live in the lame world. It is what it is though.     "Your world has some magic, just not enough for anyone to notice it. Only the special people can see it. Well, when I put it that way, it sounds bad." BlueMoon cringed.      "That's okay, everyone knows our world sucks." I told her. She paused in her walking and looked out into the ocean. In the distance, storm clouds started brewing. I c****d my head as she sighed. "Although, sometimes I wish my family and I could have this one grand adventure, just so we can know who we are and where we belong. It's going to be a harsh would for Erick and Adrian since they will be married within time."      "They have a bright future. You all do. I am afraid it is time for us to depart. Morning comes and with that, a great journey." Everything begin to fade. For some reason or another, I knew everything will slowly or quickly change.     Waking up was a slight challenge than normal. The sun began to peak into my room, making the dark room brighten only slightly. "Evie, did you have a weird dream." Jenna asked as she looked at me. She must have come to my room in the middle of the night to sleep, or shortly after I fell asleep. She scooted closer to me, resting her head on my stomach.     "I did have a strange dream. Go back to sleep. I'll have breakfeast ready when you wake back up." Sliding out of bed, I made my way to the bathroom. I grabbed a pair of sweatpants I had on the sink and slid them on. I brushed my teeth before heading to the kitchen.     I put coffee on and started making fresh orange juice. Wanting to keep the breakfeast simple, I put on eggs, bacon, sausage, and biscuits. "Smells good. I couldn't sleep." Neil sat on one of the bar stools while I set a mug of coffee in front of him. "I had this really weird dream last night."     "I did too and so did Jenna. She somehow got into my room last night without out my knowing. If we had weird dreams, then I am pretty sure everyone else did too." I said. I grabbed beer out of the fridge, earning a look from Neil. "It's never too early for beer, love."     "Poor some in my coffee and I'll agree." I rolled my eyes and did as he requested. Taking a sip, his eyes brightened. "I agree."     An hour passed before everyone else began to come to the kitchen. They all said the same thing about a dream. We didn't dwell on it long. We continued our day as normal.
