Alpha Hadrian Blackwood loves His Luna Vivian Sinclair deeply, to his very core, yet he still betrays her by having an affair with an Omega college student whom Vivian had been financially supporting for 8 years. His justifications are confident but hollow: "She's just a college student, and an Omega at that. She doesn't have the ability to be self-sufficient and needs to be taken care of."

"Then you can take good care of her!" Vivian replies. After gathering evidence, she divorces him through a legal agreement and disappears from his life without a trace.

But Hadrian soon discovers that losing Vivian is like having his nose broken—even breathing becomes difficult. He tries everything to win her back, only to discover another man has already taken his place at her side.

At a Pack gathering, the newly appointed Alpha King, Hadrian's uncle Lucian Thorne, embraces an elegantly dressed woman—it's Vivian Sinclair, who had vanished five years ago.

Below the stage, pack members gossip, "Rumor has it the King never gets close to any female wolves. Who is she?"

Lucian pulls the woman closer, full of possessiveness, and announces, "Let me introduce you all—this is my Luna."

Chapter 1: Shattered Bonds
Chapter 1: Shattered Bonds (Vivian's POV) "Miss Sinclair, are you certain you want to dissolve your pack registration?" The pack registry official's voice held a note of concern through the phone. "Once dissolved, no one will be able to track your scent markers, and all traces of your existence within pack territories will be erased." I clutched the phone tighter, my emerald eyes dim but resolute. "Yes, I'm certain." A moment of silence followed. "Very well, your scheduled dissolution will be completed within a month. After the process is complete, we will provide you with new identity documents and scent-masking protocols. Please keep your phone available." After hanging up, I immediately booked a flight ticket to the Emerald Coast for the following month. The neutral territory was far from Blackwood pack—far from him. In the dimly lit manor, only my phone screen cast a faint glow. My last social media post stared back at me: "Being able to howl under the Northern Lights on Moon Festival, I'm truly the happiest she-wolf." The accompanying picture showed a sky full of aurora and a man in a black suit with his back to the camera. With just one glance, anyone would recognize who he was—Hadrian Blackwood, Alpha of Blackwood pack. My mate of three years. The man I'd known since childhood. The man who had pursued me for eight years. We knew each other well. We attended the same pack schools from junior high to university. After graduation, our families formally arranged our mating ceremony. Everyone knew I was the center of Hadrian's world, and he would go crazy if I disappeared for even an hour. Yet this was the same man having an affair with the impoverished omega I'd been supporting for eight years. Visiting the Arctic Circle had been my childhood dream. I'd pleaded with Hadrian countless times, but he'd always refused, citing pack business commitments. The Blackwood Pack was a major territory developer, and he was the only son. I'd repeatedly consoled myself that this was something I would eventually have to get used to as Luna of the Blackwood Pack. But it wasn't until today that I realized he didn't lack the time; he simply gave all his affection to another she-wolf. Three days later, Hadrian returned. Due to territory transition fatigue, he didn't arrive home until midnight. He tiptoed to the bedside, casually took off his coat, slipped into bed, and embraced my still-sleeping form, giving me a deep, intimate kiss. "Sweetheart, I miss you so much. I've been dying these past three days away from our den. Please, let me..." The unfamiliar female scent made me nauseous. I woke almost instantly, his touch filling me with dread. "Ha-Hadrian, stop!" I tried to resist. But my graceful figure and delicate hands, even a light touch on Hadrian, seemed to make him lose his mind. He grew more forceful, more rude in his attempts to arouse me. "It was my fault for going on pack business during Moon Festival, but for our family, for you, I have to work harder." His eyes were scarlet as he cupped my lips, looking like an extremely aggrieved alpha. Countless times before, I'd been captivated by his deep, affectionate gaze. Just one look was enough to make me surrender. But this time, my heart remained unmoved. "Hadrian, who do you really love?" The question left my lips before I could stop it. He abruptly froze. "You, of course. Who else could I love?" Despite his words, I detected a flicker of guilt in his eyes and the faint scent of another female clinging to his skin. Pushing him away, I turned my back. "I'm tired. Let's rest early tonight." Tomorrow was Eleanor Blackwood's 80th birthday celebration. If it weren't for Eleanor's insistence that Hadrian bring me back to Blackwood Manor, he might not have returned at all. As dawn broke, Hadrian's car was already parked downstairs. He always considerately took care of everything, even arranging his schedule around mine. Even the pack driver sighed, "Alpha and Luna Blackwood have such a wonderful bond!" But I couldn't bring myself to smile. The Blackwood Pack was a prominent family in the Northern Territory. They had started in land development and later ventured into maritime trade, and their business continued to flourish. As soon as our car stopped at the entrance of Blackwood Manor, the head Beta led me to the inner courtyard. Eleanor Blackwood was sitting in the main hall. Seeing me arrive, her gaze instinctively fixed on my stomach, her keen senses searching for any change in my scent that would indicate pregnancy. "Hello, Elder Blackwood." I bowed respectfully. "Today is your birthday, Hadrian and I have prepared—" "You've been mated for three years, haven't you?" She abruptly interrupted me, her brow furrowed with disappointment, paying no attention to the gift in my hands. "Last time I asked you to see the pack healer, have you checked everything?" I clutched the moonstone brooch on my dress, my smile bitter. "Yes, everything is fine." "Then why can't you conceive a pup?" She cut me off, her disgust growing. "Hadrian's mother passed to the Moon Goddess early, and his father doesn't have the heart to pressure him, but that doesn't mean the pack isn't anxious. If you still can't conceive, do you intend for the Blackwood bloodline to end with you?" I dug my nails into my palms, swallowing the words that rose to my lips. Hadrian was either busy with pack business or busy with his mistress. Even I, his mate, had only caught his scent in our den four or five times in the past three months. A sharp pain stabbed at my heart. I was under immense pressure to bear a pup, while my mate was outside pursuing another female. Just as my suppressed tears threatened to spill over, Hadrian arrived. He protectively shielded me behind him, tenderly rubbing my clenched fist. "Grandmother, how many times have I told you? We'll have pups when we're ready. Next time, don't say these things to Vivi behind my back. It hurts me to see her upset!" He stood in front of me, his eyes filled with tenderness. He handed the gift in my hand to the Beta and led me away. But as soon as we reached the guest hall, his phone rang. He hesitated for a moment, about to decline the call, but I pushed him. "Answer it." He obediently answered. Whatever was said on the other end caused Hadrian's pupils to suddenly constrict. He hung up anxiously and looked at me. "Vivi, wait for me here. I need to step out for a bit. I'll be back soon!" In the vast guest hall, I didn't know a single wolf. My thin, apricot-colored dress made my already delicate frame appear even more fragile. I gave a wry smile and nodded politely, maintaining my composure. My eyes followed Hadrian as he hurried away. A sixth sense led me to follow him out. Hadrian hadn't gone far. In the back garden of Blackwood Manor, Seraphina Miller stood in a white dress, her youthful and beautiful face etched with grievance. My enhanced werewolf senses easily picked up their conversation. "Didn't I tell you not to appear here? What if Vivi catches your scent?" Hadrian's voice was low and urgent. "Alpha Blackwood, I know it's Elder Blackwood's birthday. I just wanted to come and give her a gift." Seraphina clutched the gift box in her arms, her glistening blue eyes evoking pity. "There are so many allied packs here today. What if something goes wrong? It would make us a laughingstock." "I..." Seraphina's eyes reddened, on the verge of tears. Hadrian finally softened. "Be good, go back now."
