Hey guys: Just a reminder I came across some quotes that symbolizes what I want to depict in this story at some point so I thought of adding few quotes and my thoughts describing them in my point of view. You guys can read it or skip it totally up to you. Don't forget to comment and let me know what you think. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   “I am not what I think I am, and I am not what you think I am. I am what I think you think I am” -        Charles Horton Cooley  The quote above is too deep to measure. The society that we live in so pompous and opinionated that people live under the pressure of what people think or what society thinks and that makes huge difference in an individual. Surprisingly, now a days a lot of youngsters are educated and lot of middle aged people are respecting to their kids wishes and are trying to change according to the time. Though some do have an old mentality which not bad but projecting it on others and forcing your opinion on others in not cool. Charles Horton Cooley was an American sociologist. As Charles says, somewhere around all this fake-ness we are forgetting our own self which we like and becoming someone that society would approve off, is what is happening    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Enjoy the chapter: We got inside Ashish’s car and greeted him. “Guys this is Aisha and babe this is Akshara and Richa” He introduced us. All three of us greeted each other with a friendly smile. She looked very chic and the way she talked indicated that she was an easy going person, who easily makes friends complete opposite to Ashish. “So, Aisha how did you and this guy meet” I asked to start the conversation. By the time we reach the pub, if we get to know each other at least a little makes our night even better and we could enjoy more. “We actually went to school together” She said with a big smile. “Woah, you guys are high school sweethearts?” Richa asked flabbergasted. Even I haven’t seen a couple who are still together from high school. I always thought that was restricted only in books that I read. “Actually, we know each other since 3rd grade and started dating in 7th grade” Ashish admitted blushing. Richa and I gasped at his words. “What!?!?” I exclaimed at them. Aisha started laughing at our reaction. “It never gets old. Everyone reacts just like this whenever we tell them” She said laughing and help his hand that was on the console. He intertwined their fingers. “Awwww” I gushed looking at them. They are so cute. “I’m so jealous right. I want something really hard drink to forget I’m single as f**k” Richa groaned shaking her head. Those two love birds chuckled thinking she was joking but I know she meant it because when I’m having same thoughts. In college, after my ex I despised guys. I blatantly said no to guys who proposed after him. I was just not interested in relationships and its bullshit. At that time, I had studies as a diversion but now once I come home after work I don’t have anything to do. Sure, I can spend time watching TV but for some reason I feel alone now.   “Don’t worry, you will find someone soon” Aisha said to Richa with a happy smile. “Argh, thanks but that’s not going to happen. My parents will find someone for me though” She said shaking her head. “Oh arrange marriage” Aisha said nodding. “Guys, we are in front of Aarav’s place. Keith will be staying here so we are picking and dropping both of them here only” Ashish interrupted before this conversation got more emotional. “I’ll text him” I said opening my phone. I shot a text to Aarav saying that we are in front of his building. After few minutes both Aarav and Keith came out of the gate. Richa and I opened the door and got out so that they can go to the back. “Woah, damn girls” Keith hollered looking at us. It was not creepy but definitely boosted our mood and confidents. “True, both are looking beautiful” Aarav said smiling and we smiled back and thanked them. They got in greeting Ashish and went to the back seat. After that we got in and closed the door. Ashish introduced them to Aisha. Till we reached we all had calm and cool conversations floating around. Everyone was at ease and as we got near to the pub my excitement started. I so want to let loose and dance till my legs hurt. Ashish parked the car at the far end and we all walked towards the pub. Guys were behind us while we girls were at front holding our hands and bustling in excitement. “This is my first time going to a pub” Aisha’s confession had me stumped. “Are you from Bangalore or other place?” I asked in confusion. She chuckled. “I’m born and bought up in Bangalore itself never went to a pub. Ashish went to few pubs with dance floor with his guy friends but I never did. I used to go to pubs without a dance floor” She confessed shrugging her shoulder. Richa and I shared a look. Aisha looked fidgety at our exchange of look. “Oh then we are going to have so much fun. We will dance our heart out and do some shots. It’ll be a blast” I said moving my shoulders, doing a little dance. “Hell yeah” Richa yelled as the pub came in sight. Aisha laughed and nodded. We all got in after getting a stamp on our wrist. As we stood outside waiting for guys to get their stamp we could hear the thumping of music and I was already moving in my place. Once guys were done, I yelled at them to rush. They looked at my enthusiasm and laughed. We all got inside and the aura around the pub was crazy. It looked so much fun and my favorite song ‘Paris by Willy William and Cris Cab’ was playing in highest volume. The beats to this song is ca-ra-zy. I dragged everyone to the dance floor and started moving my body to the music. Everyone were good sport and joined in with their own moves. We continued dancing, moving our hips to the song. Richa and I were like twins moving our body to the rhythm of the song. Once, the song ended and put on some song that I don’t know, I pointed towards the bar. Everyone moved towards it, we all ordered a shot of Vodka each. When we got it, we all formed a circle and chugged it at the same time after clinking it all together. That moment was precious for me. The first night out with my office buddies with whom I was comfortable with. We all started dancing again when Rihanna’s started playing. We danced together for like an hour or so and later Ashish and Aisha moved aside to have a couple dance which Richa and I looked in envy. Richa wanted to drink more so all four of us got into a booth and ordered the drinks. Both guys went to get them for us. We sat there and moved our bodies to the song in our seat. Guys came back with our drinks while they bought beers for themselves. We did few more shots. I usually stop at two shots if Mona is not there with me but when Aarav assured me that he won’t drink more and will makes sure both of us are safe, that’s when I started drinking like it’s my business. In between, my phone screen lit up with a call. The caller name read “Mr. Arrogant” Why the hell is he calling me? That too now at 10pm. Argh, maybe to apologize. Nah, I don’t f*****g care. He sucks anyway. I rejected the call and took another shot. By the time we finished drinking Richa and I were tipsy. We rushed back to the dance floor and started dancing like crazy. We laughed and moved our hips together. We were having a blast. Aarav and Keith joined us. Keith was drunk as we were but Aarav was sober. He did join three of us in our crazy dance. I don’t f*****g know why we three started chicken dancing for Yo Yo honey singh’s song. Aarav was laughing at our dance and was making a video for sure but three didn’t care. Richa wrapped her arm around my shoulder and Keith’s shoulder and all three danced like we were friends since childhood. Closely, very amused Aarav joined us. We had an excuse that we were drunk, but that guy is plane s**t crazy. We kept dancing I moved aside to go to washroom. I really had to pee with all the drinks that I had. Aarav came with me and stayed out the washroom. After doing my business I felt even more light headed. I stood there in front of the mirror looking at my face. I looked hot for sure. I took out my phone to see the time and I saw two messages from Varun. Why the hell is he contacting me? Getting curious, I opened the messages. “Hey Akshara, I’m scary to call at this hour. I didn’t reality it was so late” (“Hey Akshara, I’m sorry to call at this hour. I didn’t realize it was so late”- what he actually sent) “Cash me when you are free” my eyes were blurring but I think I read it correctly. (“Call me when you are free”- what he actually sent) I looked at the messages with a frown. Why is he being so polite? I started texting the reply back. “Whyyy aree you telling me now? I’m soo madly mad at yo” I said huffing and kept my phone in my sling bag. (“Why are you texting me now? I’m so madly mad at you”- what she actually meant to send) By the time it was 1am, the pub started to slow down and after 1, DJ stopped the music. We all gathered around and took some pictures at the side. Few selfies and few posed pictures that a bouncer took on Aarav’s request. All in all, we had a very amazing night. It was filled with laughter and happiness and obviously drinks. I felt like somewhere, all of us became more close than we were before. I for the first time felt like addressing them as my friends, not colleagues. We got into Ashish’s car. Though all of us were drunk except Aarav and Ashish, we all could walk. Sometimes Richa, Keith or I would miss a step but Aarav was there to balance us. We stood outside the pub waiting for Ashish to get the car. We got in and he drove off. Aisha played some soft music which was exactly what we needed right now.
