Chapter 5 Resemblance

Zara went completely still at the suspicion formed in her head. She tried to approach the man and grab him to see his face, but a man stood in her way.
The man asked, "Zara?"
When she looked up and saw Darius' face, which resembled her son's, she went into a trance for a moment. However, at that moment, she wished to grasp the man in the white coat more than anything.
She pushed Darius aside and walked towards them, only to discover that Sia and the male doctor had vanished.
"Who are you searching for?" Darius asked after noticing her haste.
She was taken aback when she realized Darius staring at her. He was her boss in any case, so she knew she couldn't ignore him.
"Nothing. I mistook him for someone I knew." She pretended as if nothing had occurred.
"Are you ill?" Darius asked after noticing her holding some medicine.
"My son has been having diarrhea for several days, so I took him to the doctor. Why are you also at the hospital?" she asked.
Darius remembered seeing Adrian at the airport the other day. He’s a small but determined child who looked familiar with himself.
As he examined the woman in front of him, his eyes narrowed in confusion.
"What's the matter with him?" he asked. He was then taken aback by the fact that he was worried about that child.
"He's had a stomach ache since moving here. Don't worry, the doctor has prescribed medication for him," Zara answered.
"He'll be fine if he eats less ice cream," Darius joked, and flashed her with a smile.
With his smiling face, Zara thought that he looked more like Adrian at the moment.
She couldn’t help but be stunned, so she gazed at Darius seriously.
"Do you know how dangerous it is for you to stare at men?" Darius asked in a serious tone as he leaned onto her ear.
Zara snapped back to reality. When she became shy, her heart raced, and she blushed. In frustration, she ducked her head and bit her lower lip.
He was smitten by the way she looked. At that moment, he smelled the fragrance he had been looking for a long time.
His gaze on her became complicated. As the atmosphere between the two of them became a little different, someone walked towards them.
"Zara, did you pick up the medicine?" Becca asked.
Nodding, she replied, "Yes. How is Adrian doing now?"
"He's feeling a little better, but the doctor advised him to take his medication right now."
After seeing the tall and handsome man standing next to Zara, Becca became curious. "Isn't this your boss, Zara? Why is he also here?"
Becca wasn't expecting Darius to be even more attractive than he appeared on TV. People were afraid to approach him because he appeared cold and detached.
Zara politely told Darius, "Sorry, but I must go now. Bye."
She then prepared to leave with Becca.
"I'm going to see your son," Darius said suddenly.
"No, that won't be necessary." Zara was confused by his unexpected kindness.
Instead of listening to her refusal, he moved forward as if he hadn't heard her refusal.
"What ward is he in right now?" he asked as if he wouldn't allow her to refuse.
"King Darius, why are you here?" Zara asked again.
"My father is at his doctor's appointment, so I have a bit of time on my hands right now."
Zara then realized why he was also at the hospital. She was hesitating when Becca enthusiastically showed him the way.
"It's just around the corner up ahead. Come on, please come with us."
"Becca, don't be ridiculous," Zara whispered while glancing at her best friend.
"Why are you nervous? He's the wolf king, so he's supposed to care about every werewolf," Becca said. She didn't seem to think it was a big deal.
Zara knew she couldn't say no, so she led Darius to the hospital room.
Adrian was laying pale in his hospital bed. When he saw Zara, he instantly smiled and said, "Mommy, you're finally back."
"Huh? Why is this gentleman here too?" He became refreshed after seeing Darius, who came in behind Zara.
"Adrian, this is my boss. You can call him Uncle Darius." Zara glanced awkwardly at the man beside her, then explained.
"Wow! So, what's he doing here?" Adrian asked while staring at Darius.
"I heard you weren't feeling well, so I came to check on you," Darius said as he walked over to the bed.
"Something's not right," Darius' wolf, Dave, said.
"I feel the same." Darius looked at Adrian, who looked extremely similar to himself and answered Dave.
"What's going on?" They said in unison, but neither knew the answer.
"I'm fine! You don't need to see me," Adrian said suddenly, interrupting Darius and Wolf's conversation.
Adrian pretended to be upset and even sat up from the bed to prove he was fine.
However, the next second, Adrian's stomach suddenly rumbled, and his face turned red.
Darius laughed when he saw the kid's stubborn little face. "If you're not feeling well, just say so. I'm not going to mock you."
He also deliberately patted the boy's shoulder.
"I'm not uncomfortable!" Adrian still refused to admit it.
"Come on, take your medicine." Zara handed Adrian the medicine and a glass of water.
Adrian quickly swallowed the medication and drank a large gulp of water.
"Slow down." Zara patted him on the back while Darius smiled.
As she watched them, Becca had the impression that they were a family. She also noticed how Adrian and Darius had a striking resemblance.
Adrian was told to lie down and rest after taking his medication.
Suddenly, Zara felt uneasy as she noticed Darius's complicated gaze on her son.
A man rushed in the next second, "King Darius, what's wrong with my grandfather?"
Zara frowned after realizing that it was Alpha Marcus.
"I heard Grandpa passed out. How is he doing now?" Alpha Marcus asked as soon as he walked in.
He came in as soon as the nurse mentioned Darius being in that room without even seeing who else was there.
"He's got the usual problem. The doctor is treating him," Darius replied.
"Zara?" When Marcus finally turned to look at who was in the room, he was taken aback.
"Who is this kid?" Marcus asked, his gaze shifting to the boy in the hospital bed. "Is he my son?"
