Chapter 1 – The Rider of Midnight
The rain had not stopped for hours.
The streets of Noctis City shimmered beneath the glow of neon lights, their reflections dancing across the wet pavement. Most people had already locked their doors, knowing that midnight belonged to criminals, smugglers, and shadows.
But tonight, another shadow moved faster than all of them.
A black motorcycle roared through the empty streets like thunder.
Its rider wore a long black coat that flowed behind him like wings. A silver raven symbol gleamed on his chest, and a sleek helmet hid his face completely.
People knew him by only one name.
Zyro Raven.
The Night Rider.
No one knew where he came from. No one knew his real s********e believed he had once been a soldier. Others whispered that he had lost his family to the city's criminal empire. Whatever the truth, one thing was certain—where injustice appeared, Zyro was never far away.
His motorcycle slowed near an abandoned warehouse by the river.
Inside, several armed men surrounded a frightened teenage courier carrying a small locked case.
"Hand it over," one of the criminals growled.
The boy shook his head.
"I... I can't."
A loud engine echoed outside.
The warehouse doors burst open.
The black motorcycle slid across the floor in a shower of sparks.
The criminals stepped back in surprise.
Zyro removed one glove but kept his helmet on.
"You picked the wrong person to threaten," he said calmly.
The leader laughed.
"So the city's ghost has finally arrived."
Without another word, the fight began.
One attacker rushed forward.
Zyro dodged effortlessly, using the man's momentum to send him crashing into a stack of wooden crates. Another swung a metal pipe, but Zyro blocked the strike with his armored forearm before disarming him with a precise kick.
Within moments, the warehouse echoed with falling weapons and panicked footsteps.
The leader reached for the locked case.
Zyro moved first.
He caught the case before it touched the ground.
Police sirens wailed in the distance.
The surviving criminals fled through broken windows into the rain.
Zyro handed the case back to the trembling courier.
"Go home," he said. "And don't look back."
Before the boy could even thank him, the Night Rider was already gone.

Far above the city, inside the tallest glass tower, another man watched everything unfold through a wall of security screens.
He wore a perfectly tailored black suit.
His eyes never blinked.
This was Kain Wolf.
The man whose name alone made powerful people nervous.
He smiled faintly.
"So... the Night Rider has interfered again."
One of his assistants stepped forward.
"Should we eliminate him, sir?"
Kain walked toward the massive window overlooking the city.
"No."
His voice was quiet.
"A man who never removes his mask always has something worth protecting."
He lifted a crystal chess piece and placed it on the board.
"The game has finally begun."

Across the city, unaware of the danger surrounding her, Meera Bloom finished another painting in her tiny apartment.
Moonlight streamed through the window, illuminating a canvas that showed a lone rider speeding beneath a silver moon.
She frowned.
"I've never met this man," she whispered.
"So why do I keep painting him?"
Just then, her white kitten, Mochi, jumped onto the table, knocking over a small wooden box hidden beneath old sketchbooks.
Inside lay a strange silver pendant engraved with the same raven symbol worn by the Night Rider.
Meera stared at it in silence.
Outside, thunder shook the city.
Far away, Zyro suddenly stopped his motorcycle.
For the first time in years...
He felt that someone had uncovered a secret that should have remained buried forever.
