Kristen kissed Zane on their way to the door. She wasn’t ready for him to leave, but he had an adventure and had to go. She would have happily stayed in bed a few more hours, worshipping him and him worshipping her. She wasn’t anywhere near done with him.
Zane pressed her to the door and lifted her, dragging his lips down her throat as she wrapped her legs around his hips.
“I can’t get enough of you,” she admitted. It was the closest she’d come to telling him how she really felt. She wasn’t ready for love again, not when it destroyed her last time, but her heart had other plans.
“I’ll never get enough of you,” he murmured into her hair.
She loved how he made her feel. Like she could do anything because she had him on her side. It was heady. Just like her feelings for him.
