Natalie hugged her mother tightly after hearing her story. "I'm so glad you were both taken in and are safe. I actually came here to see if I would be able to pledge allegiance to this pack." She told her mother all about how she had been banned and rejected. Marsha stroked her hair with tears in her eyes. "I'm so sorry you had to go through all that baby. I wish I could've been there for you. You do look awful worn down though, can I get you something to eat?" Natalie's stomach gave a loud growl at the mention of food.
Marsha laughed out loud. "I'll take that as a yes. Let's go to the grand hall for lunch. Your father should be there and I know he'll be so happy to see you." Natalie linked her arm through her mothers as they left the clinic and made their way over to the mess hall. Upon entering there were so many delicious aromas in the air she was almost drooling. She grabbed a plate and piled it high with a little bit of everything the buffet table had to offer. Her mother waved at her to join at a nearby table.
About halfway through her plate of food her father Kent entered back from the morning training session. They had a tearful reunion and he joined them at their table. It was like everything was finally going right for Natalie. She couldn't believe that she had been reunited with her family. Marsha mentioned that she would need to meet with the current alpha Robert to pledge her allegiance and get assigned a pack duty. Robert was sitting at the head of the mess hall. He had long black hair with some silver streaks in it.
He must have mind-linked her parents because they both abruptly stopped talking for a moment. When her parents eyes cleared her father spoke. "I know we still have some catching up to do but Robert would like for all of us to meet with him after lunch." Natalie looked up at the head table and gave a nod to Robert. "Do you think that he will let me into the pack?" she asked nervously. "Without a doubt" her mother replied winking. "Otherwise he'd lose a very gifted healer and trainer. Let's go meet with him in his conference room."
They all stood up from the table and cleared their plates. She followed her parents out of the mess hall and into another large building. This one had several offices and what looked like a couple of classrooms for younger pups. This place was so large she was going to need a map to remember where everything was. Her mother stopped outside of a large ornate looking door and knocked. "Come in" Even though she was not yet an official member Natalie could tell that Robert was using his Alpha tone
She entered the room with her parents feeling suddenly very nervous. Robert was surveying her with his deep blue eyes. Suddenly his face broke into a wide smile which made him look so much younger. "Natalie! How wonderful to meet you. Your parents shared with me how you came to be here in our community. They said you would like to pledge allegiance to our pack?" Natalie gave a nod. "Very well let's get down to it. Repeat after me. I, Natalie Thorne pledge to serve the Silver Moon pack to the best of my ability and to support my pack members until my dying day."
Natalie repeated everything that Robert had said back word for word. She felt a deep warmth in her chest and a tingle in her head from being able to mind link with anyone in the pack now. "Welcome to the pack Natalie."
