Wild One

Getting settled

Natalie hugged her parents after getting initiated. "Marsha, Kent please go show Natalie to a room and have her meet with Sasha to see where we would like her to get assigned." Robert shook Natalie's hand "I'm so happy that you were able to be reunited with your parents Natalie. They have done so much for my family. Please let me know if you need anything settling in. You should be able to meet my son Tyler in about a week. He's off visiting with one of our sister packs."

Natalie and her parents left Robert's office. "He was very welcoming" she said to them. Marsha nodded "Yes he is a wonderful alpha. His son is a little troubled but he's very nice. He was very close to his sister that I told you about. Let's take you to your new room so you can check it out." There was a small red cottage up ahead that they were leading her to. "Mom, this looks more like a house than a room?" Natalie asked. "It's a four bedroom place, they put anyone new to the pack in before they get moved to a bigger location" replied Marsha. Her father left to do some afternoon training sessions and her mother helped her unpack her small bag.

After getting unpacked Marsha took her to go meet with Sasha one of the pack Omegas. Sasha was a strikingly tall brunette with gorgeous golden eyes. Natalie had taken a liking to her instantly. She was nice yet firm and had a wicked sense of humor. Sasha had given her an assessment test of sorts to see where she may fit in best at within the pack. Natalie hoped maybe she would get to work with either the teachers or the cooks of the pack. She loved little kids and cooking.

Sasha collected her paper and directed her to go her room for the time being until she could review the test results. Natalie made her way back towards the red cottage. There were so many people here laughing, talking, chasing each other around. She couldn't help feeling like a bit of an outsider. She didn't have a lot of friends even in her old pack. She always just felt awkward around others. Sasha seemed nice though maybe they could become friends. She entered the cottage and collapsed onto her bed.

Within minutes she drifted off. While she was sleeping she dreamed of running around with a large black wolf. Their fur shone underneath a full moon as they chased each other around. In the dream the other wolf had the bluest eyes she'd ever seen and just before he went to nuzzle her she woke up. As she sat up in bed she couldn't help but wonder if her dreams were getting stronger with her eighteenth birthday approaching. She made a mental note to discuss this with her mother to see if she had any ideas.

She climbed out of bed and changed into some jeans and a tee shirt. It was close to dinnertime judging by the growling of her stomach. Natalie slipped on a pair of sneakers and headed out the door towards the mess hall.
