Tyler was absolutely exhausted. He was currently on a plane flying back home after visiting a sister pack on behalf of his father. His ceremony for becoming alpha was taking place next week and he had so much still to do to get ready for it. Meetings with his father, he needed to make up a few missed training sessions as well with Kent. Tyler had not been sleeping well lately. He kept dreaming about a wolf with red fur.
Whenever he woke up from his dreams he felt an urge to go find this mysterious wolf. He had spoken with his father on the phone about it and Robert seemed to think that he was dreaming of his future mate. Tyler had scoffed at the idea. He was twenty already and had met countless she-wolves and felt nothing for any of them. His dad kept reassuring him that sometimes these things take time. He liked to remind Tyler that he didn't meet his mother until he was twenty-five. Hopefully Tyler wouldn't have to wait that long.
He couldn't wait to go home and sleep in his own bed. Tyler looked out the plane window and watched the clouds go by his window until he drifted off into a restless dream. He was waking through the courtyard back home following his nose to the mess hall. Among the smell of fresh cinnamon rolls he caught the scent he had been chasing before he left again. Wildflowers and vanilla. His eyes scanning the mess hall but not seeing anyone new. He jerked awake when the plane touched down.
He was too far away to link his dad so he just called him and let him know that he had landed. Tyler hopped in his cab and made small talk on the way back to his pack. They never let humans get close so he was dropped off at the nearest town where he had left his own car. He slide behind the drivers seat and started back home. Rolling up to the large iron gates at the entrance he felt himself finally relax at the familiar sight. He pulled into the garage and made his way into the mansion.
Tyler was craving a nice hot shower and fresh clothes before going to dinner. He rounded the corned and unlocked his bedroom door. Turning on the shower he stripped out of his clothes and got under the warm water. His mind was wandering thinking about that red-furred wolf he kept dreaming about. He wondered what she would look like as a human. Were these dreams really a sign that he was getting ready to meet his mate? Dare he start to hope? Shutting off the water he moved to get dressed for dinner.
Since this wasn't anything fancy he opted for a pair of worn jeans and a button down flannel. Slipping on a pair of boots he made his way out the door. Down the hall his wolf ears picked up the sound of high heels. Guessing that it was Tammy heading his way he quickly turned around and heading outside through a different door. He really didn't want to deal with her right now
