Chapter 7 of The Gem

Due to the pain she felt in her leg, she was not able to move or run at full speed or unbelievable speed. She tried so much to run at full speed, but the injury kept getting worse and worse upon every slight movement. The leg seemed to appear red as one of the tissues in her leg seemed to be torn. She started sweating profusely as she was being drained of all her energy very quickly. The guy noticed the weakness that Jacey seemed to be having. He wanted to prove himself as a worthy opponent as he had a reputation of not playing dirty during fights as an assassin or during a mission.

The guy could no longer move around jumping and running as the pressure of the blood in the leg had become too much for her body to handle. The red area on her leg's surface burst due to the high pressure of the blood in her leg. She screamed very loudly as she had never felt such a pain before. She thought that she was going to die as she started losing consciousness. She started losing her clear sight and started getting blurry vision. He noticed that her leg was bleeding profusely and searched for a piece of cloth in the room. He eventually found one lying around. He took the piece of cloth and placed Jacey on the bed. He cleaned a lot of the blood on the leg first and then, he used the piece of cloth to tie that area of the leg to stop blood flow as the girl may have ended up dying from excessive bleeding.

The guy placed her on the bed and placed her head on the pillow to relieve her of the pain. The pain was so intense that her eyes became red in colour. She could hardly see anything well again. He was able to tie her to the bed as she was feeling weak. He also did not want her to remove the piece of cloth applying pressure on the wound. He took a plastic bottle of drink from the cooler nearby and gave it to her, and he asked her to drink it as she was getting dehydrated. She started even more after taking in the drink. He told her to sleep after taking in the drink. She slept like a baby after taking in the drink as she had been totally drained of all her strength. The guy left the room and went in search of a mop to clean up the blood that had leaked onto the floor. He used a lot of water and soap to wipe the floor to make it look like nothing had happened. The person whom the guy had called on the phone earlier wanted the girl alive and unscathed before he would pay the assassin his money. He used a lot of cotton wool to clean and wipe the blood from the girl's leg. He quickly ran to the nearest sewing shop and the only sewing shop which happened to operate at night in his neighbourhood. He purchased a sewing kit and a lot of thread as he needed to sew the wound on the girl's leg. He had to change out of his assassin attire into a normal outfit in order to avoid raising suspicion.
