Chapter 6 of The Gem

Eventually, they reached where the guy was sending her. She was still unconscious, so he had to carry her out of the car. He placed her on a bed and tied her to the bed. He placed food beside the bed and was about to leave when he received a call. He took the call in the room as he was waiting for Jacey to wake up. He picked up the call and said on the phone," Good evening. The job is done. She is lying by my side unconscious. I am waiting for you at the location I picked for us to meet. What time are you coming? I have other jobs to get to. Bring what we agreed to along. I will be waiting." The person on the other side of the phone responded," So all went well then. Good to know. I am a little busy with some matters at hand currently, but I will be there in a few. Keep the target company for the time being. Also, I will bring what I promised along. I never disappoint. For your job well done, I might give you something extra." The guy on the other side of the phone then cut the call. After the guy had finished msking the call, Jacey started to open her eyes slowly because she had heard the man on the phone. The sound from the phone call woke her up. When she woke up, she asked the guy why he had tied her to the bed. The guy did not respond as he did not want Jacey to know his voice as she might be able to recognise him by his voice. He tried to avoid eye contact by looking away from her when she was talking to him. She asked the guy again why she was there at that hour of the night. The guy again did not answer. She started suspecting the guy because he was acting very weird. He noticed that she had started suspecting him, so he had to play it cool in order to lower the suspicion.

He forgot that he had an ability that allowed him to change his voice. He asked her whether or not she was hungry using another voice. She told him that she was hungry and that she had not eaten the whole day. He pushed her food to the side of her bed and placed a spoon and fork by the plate of food. He untied her from the bed so that she could eat. She smiled and jumped from the bed and over the guy with unbelievable speed as she was a well trained assassin. The guy did not seem scared as he watched her. Not knowing, she took the knife and the spoon in the process of jumping. She did not even waste time cutting the rope because it was very thick rope, and it would take her a very long time even if she tried at her fastest to cut the thick rope and set herself free.She did not try anything risky as she did not know the speed limit of the guy or his true strength level. First of all, she threw the spoon into the wall to distract the guy, and while the guy was not looking, she removed the knife from her hand and quickly put it in her pocket. She decided not to be afraid of the guy's possible speed limit as it seemed that the guy's fastest could not even be compared to her slowest. She ran towards the guy at full speed with the knife in her pocket. She did not remove the knife as she was waiting for the guy to show her his vulnerable spot or his vulnerability level. She stopped right in front of the guy at full speed and threw a punch at the guy with so much strength that she could kill him in a single punch, but the guy dodged and she ended up breaking a wooden box behind the guy. The guy threw a punch at her at his fastest speed, but Jacey dodged the punch and threw one at the guy. She was successful as she had punched the guy in the face. The punch seemed to have no impact on the guy as he was still standing there. He held Jacey by the neck and carried her up slowly while looking her in her eye. He then threw her at the wall behind her. She landed on the wall with her two legs. She felt pain in her both of her legs as the guy happened to be very strong.
