A week later

Haven POV

"How have you been doing" Annie asked at the other end smiling

"What are you planning" I asked cus she was the first person that came to my mind after I heard of Mason's breakout

She couldn't be smart enough to break him out but I'm pretty sure she had contacted him

"Nothing, you told me to wait for your signal" she said and I had mixed emotions

"Just checking if you are obeying orders" I said and hung up

Who could possibly break him out if he didn't break himself out, I need to know the other person who hates her

But I think I would just sit back and let nature deal with her, at least I won't have blood on my hands

Annie POV

Why did she call me?, did something happen to Peony that I should know of and she was calling to know if I was behind it

I really think Haven is having a soft spot for Peony, maybe I should get rid of her

"Who was that" Mary who I had forgotten I was with said

"My mum she needs me to send her money" I lied and she nodded

"Is your dad okay?" She asked "Hmmm" I said

"You told me you went to see him" She said and I remembered I told her I was going to see my dad

"He's better now" I said giving myself a mental note to always remember my lies

"What about peony?" I asked "She's holding up fine" she answered

"What about Daren" I asked "He's fine" she said and I nodded

Peony POV

I closed my eyes trying to sleep but it eluded me, God I really need to get some sleep

I got out of bed and turned on the light before heading to the bathroom, maybe a light bath would help

Soon after later I came out and put off the light before I lay on the bed

Some minutes past and I was still awake, I don't know what is actually keeping me awake maybe because my Dad is still on the loose

The door creaked open and I turned to it's direction but could not see anything because of the darkness

"Who is there?" I asked but I was greeted with the echo of my voice

Already scared I asked again "Daren is that you", although I was wondering why he would be in my room

Scared to death I entered into my duvet, I know I should at least put on the lamp at my bed side but if it is who I suspect it to be I would rather not see his face

The light illuminated the room and I slowly brought my head out I saw Daren at the entrance close to the switch and I was infuriated

"What are you doing in my room" I asked angrily

"I was bored in my room so I thought I could come over" he said

"What happened to rule number two" I asked "Well it doesn't say that I can't come to yours" he said and I rolled my eyes

"Well as you can see I was about to sleep" I said "That's great we can sleep together" he said

"Hmmm?" I said trying to confirm if I need to get hearing aids

"What's wrong with that" he asked making it seem like a normal thing

Sometimes I wonder if he was mentally stable, cus it's easy for him to switch

"I would take your silence as a yes" he said and turned off the light before I could say anything

I don't want him here but I could use some company Incase my Dad decides to come, I don't want to die alone

I felt the other side of the go low confirming that he was on the bed

"Are you asleep?" I asked some seconds later and there was silence, was he ignoring me?

"Daren?" I asked and there was silence, I turned to face his direction and used my hand to my hand to touch the bed till I touched him

"Can you keep your hands to yourself" he said not sounding sleepy, so he was ignoring me

"Of course I can, I was just wondering if you are asleep" I said

"Are you having troubles sleeping" he asked "Yes" I said

"Should I help?" He asked and I thought for a moment

"Yes" I said cus I had important business to do tomorrow, well....not actually important, I need to visit the mall

Well actually me and Mary are going shopping and it's all her Idea not mine, I felt a hand wrap around me and Daren shifted me closer to himself taking me by surprise

"What are you doing" I asked trying not to get nervous and at the same time wondering how this is supposed to get me sleepy

"Cuddling you, it helps with babies" he said "Well I'm not a baby" I said trying to wriggle out of his grip but it only got stronger

"Stay still, if it doesn't work after 30 minutes I'll let go of you" he said and I did not say anything even though I agreed

"Should I sing you a lullaby" he asked and I guessed from his tone that he was teasing me

"I'm not a child" I said and hissed, I started to think about how I would plan my miscarriage when I started to drift into sleep.

Peony POV

I turned for again not wanting to get out of bed when I suddenly remembered that I was supposed to be out shopping with Mary

I was about to call her and inform her that I won't be able to make it when her call entered

"Hello" I said dragging the last part "I'm at your house" she said

"Yeah about that I don't want to go anymore" I said "You're kidding me, take your bath and get dressed I'm waiting for you" she said and hung up

Rolling my eyes I sluggishly picked myself up and entered the bathroom

Writer's POV

"Do you care for a drink" Daren asked "I'm okay" Mary said and Daren nodded before taking his eyes back to his laptop

"For how long do you think she's going to be up there" Mary asked but got no reply from Daren

Mary looked at him wondering if he didn't hear her, she was about to repeat her statement when peony came downstairs

"Took you so long" Mary said and peony put on a smile

"I feel sick" peony whined "So?, I should cancel my plans" Mary said and peony nodded making Mary glare at her

"Good morning" peony said turning to Daren's direction

"Morning" he said not sparing her a glance "He's back to being mental" she muttered before turning to Mary

"Is Annie joining us" Peony asked "Yes she will meet us at the mall, let's go" Mary said and they left

~At peony's parents house~

"Dad, I'm talking here" Haven said but got no reply from her dad

"DAD!" She said raising her voice "You should be able to cater for yourself" her Dad said and added

"I thought you were getting married to Jason, what happened"

"We broke up, okay" she said "Get a husband you are not my responsibility" her dad said

"What about my shares" Haven asked "You will have it when you get married" her Dad said

"By then I would be certain you will not make reckless decisions and ruin me" her dad said

"I hate you" Haven said and picked up her beg before leaving the house angrily

~At the mall~

"This one fits you" Mary said picking up a yellow dress and brought it close to Peony

"I will go with the red" Peony said and shifted the yellow dress away from her bringing the red dress as a substitute

"Annie which one fits her, yellow or Red" Mary asked Annie who wasn't paying attention to them as she was doing something on her phone

"Annie" Mary said and tapped her and she flinched "Emmm the yellow looks good, you should wear it for the dinner I had planned" Annie said

"Dinner?" Mary asked and added quickly "We are supposed to be headed to the spa"

"It's not actually a dinner just my treat for you guys are" Annie said

"Well a dinner won't be bad, I will go change" Peony said and returned the Red dress

"Okay, meet me at the restaurant across the street I have to attend to something" Annie said

"Across the street?" Mary questioned

"Yes it's my treat so I don't want to spend much" Annie said and wink before she left the mall

"I told you the yellow fits you" Mary said "I will go with the red" Peony said and picked the dress again

"Why" Mary asked "Something tells me red fits better" peony said and winked

"Okay" Mary said and Peony smiled at her before heading to the dressing room

Mary POV

After she left I took a good look at the yellow dress again and I was sure it would fit her more

Why is she so adamant, even Annie agreed with me

Talking about Annie that girl is acting suspicious these days, I wonder what she's up to again

Well, if Peony doesn't want the yellow dress I would wear it, it should look good on me

My eyes roamed the mall and it fell on someone that looked like Mason

Before I could blink the person was gone, I moved in the direction I had seen him go but I lost him

Maybe my eyes was deceiving me, he couldn't be walking around freely when he's wanted

And what was he doing in the mall, did he come for peony

Panicking I made my way to the dressing to check if Peony was okay

"Peony" I shouted her name on entering but no one answered me

I was about calling her cellphone when I saw it on the floor, where could she be?

I'm sure she's safe and it's not want I'm thinking, I made my way out of the room and collided with someone on the way out

"Where have you been, I've been looking for you" Peony said

"Are you okay" I asked checking her for any sign of injury

"I'm fine, check me out" she said and twirled showing of the red dress

"It's nice" I said accepting that I was paranoid, Maybe it wasn't Mason I saw

"Are you going to wear that" she asked pointing to the yellow dress I was holding

"Yes that's why am her and luckily I found this" I said and gave her her phone

"Maybe it dropped from my bag" she said and collected it before she pushed me inside the dressing room to change

Mason POV

"Do you know what she looks like" she asked and I nodded negatively, I hadn't seen peony in 10 years

"I thought as much" she said and brought out her phone and showed me her picture briefly

"They will be out of the mall anytime soon" she said

"Kill her and meet me at the warehouse, I will arrange for you to leave the country in twenty-four hours" She said and added

"If it will be of any help, she's wearing a yellow dress"

Writer's POV

"It looks perfect on you more than it would have done on me" Peony said and Mary smiled

"Maybe yellow is my color after all" Mary said and put on the matching sunglasses peony bought for the three of them

"Let's get going, Annie would be upset we kept her waiting" Peony said and put on her sunglasses

"I doubt if she's there already" Mary said and they both headed outside

"I forgot my phone" Peony said as they were about to cross the street

"Go and pick it, hurry" Mary said "Okay I will catch up with you" peony said

"If you say so" Mary said and walked into road she was about to get to the other side when a car from nowhere hit her before speeding off

Peony who was barely inside the mall heard a loud thud and turned back to check what was happening when she sighted Mary across the street lying lifeless with her clothes soaked in her own blood

Annie POV

I watched as the car hit peony and my lips curved into a smile before I put in my sunglasses peony bought for the three of us

Poor Peony her life would end by the hands of her fugitive father, now to get rid of her dad

Poor mason didn't know he's a dead man as the brakes of the car are faulty

I laughed to myself as I sipped my drink, Haven ought to l

earn from me and speaking of the the devil I think I have to get rid of her too

I stood up and was about to leave when I sighted Peony running out of the mall to the body across the street

Wait if that's isn't peony, that means Mary is the one Mason hit.
