Alfred took the identity of David Hunter to join the envoy to Justine's Base. Hunter was his mothers last name, he chose it for familiarity in the case of people testing him for his true identity. While David was his brother’s name, it made him not too stranger over being called by that name seeing that some less knowledgeable people did once confuse him and his brother way back. A dumb episode of their lives as the two of them share no great of a resemblance to be confused of.
The journey to the base was not too smooth as Aila has told it to be. While it is considerably closer to the base he built, it was riddled with many mutant animals than zombies were. Something that he thought to be a jeez when the girl told him back then.
