Once upon a princess

Chapter 1 ~ Childhood Once upon a time there lived a princess whose name was beauty meaning (èwátomi) in her native language. Beauty was a very beautiful and humble young girl whose name was known all over the village for her great deed, warm heart, intelligence and kindness. She is a type of girl who helps and care for everyone in the village and ever since she was growing up, people in the village of Aojirebi (wisdom land) have always loved and cherish her for the great morals and kindness she have showed towards the land and for being the only princess to have bring a lot of peace, wisdom, love and beauty to the land and for the fact that she was also a princess have even made people more proud of her. Everyone in the neighborhood would always call her our wife or in-laws hoping that one day someone from their family or a friend's family would end up marrying the princess which makes them a friend or an in-law to the king at the same time every princess are always entitled to end up marrying a prince, a king or someone from a rich and wealthy family who has all the potential right and ability to rule over the people. Some people were even naming their children {beauty} thinking they would also take after her footstep while growing up even up to the extent that some people would always send her father gifts and money, praising and hailing him for giving birth and raising a great and beautiful daughter. Although beauty's father who was a very rich and famous man in the village would always return the gift back to them. He was a very strict and disciplined man, who does not mess around with his children. And everyone in the village of Aojirebi still loves him for that but neither did they know how much beauty hated her father for being very overprotective and overwhelming all the time. She was only allowed to move out of the house once in a while maybe on a very special occasion. Everybody in her home town would always wish they were her and she would always wish she was not a princess but a noble girl. Some people would call her “Ewá” while some calls her "beauty" because she seems to be the most prettiest lady in the village. Her beauty always attach and draw people closer to her "I guess it isn't that easy to be pretty" that’s her phrase and she being a princess even gives more glory to her beauty that even made it worst to the extents that she started sneaking out at night and started disrespecting her daddy. She was never allowed to make a decision of her own instead her father would always make the whole decision for her and her own is to just Obey, follow and endure it even if it does not goes well with her no one simply cares about it. She started getting marriage proposal at the age 14 and every single day ever since then in her house, was always a new case of marriage proposal for her from both old and young mens.... There are always so many people outside the palace crying out and bringing so many gifts and money just for the king to give out his only child for marriage but the king would always ignore and chase them all away out of the palace and little did they know my father's choice was different... My father have always wanted me to marry a white man but I was not even interested in them and little did my daddy know how racist these people are, his best phrase is always like "Beauty you know you are the only daughter of king Agbalade and I want you to bring out the glory of our village by marring a white man who can help and bring more development into our village" he would always insist. My dad would always warn me not to ever give In to anyone in the village or make friends with them rather I should protect myself and study more so that I can be useful for the community. He would always locked me up inside with a lot of whitemen's book which I have never seen before and he would always ask me to study them so as to be able to speak the whitemen's language and even interact with them. He would always pressure and persuade me to study and learn hard every single day. He would always ask me to do whatever he wants and will still always denial me the right to move, freedom of speech, making friends or even going out to play. Beauty's father was a very strict and tough man who does not take no for an answer, he always gives everyone in the palace an instruction that needs to be followed, he assigned a bodyguard who always report to him everything she does daily 'Why do you always obey My father?? "That's what I am assigned to do, My princess" he replied as he bowed "Whose bodyguard are you?? My father's or mine?? ‘I am assigned to protect you, my princess" he replied 'I want to go outside, it's an order from the princess of this land" 'I am sorry but you can't" he said as he bowed down 'Who are you to obey me or my father?? Beauty asked" 'I am to obey you, my princess" "If so take me outside if you don't want to lose your job" The guard did as she requested and escorted her outside without anyone knowing 'Good morning, your highness" The maids greeted the king as they saw him heading to the princess quarter 'Where is the princess?? He requested 'My lord, we couldn't find her in her room this morning" 'What do you mean you can't find her?? 'Pardon us, my king" the chief maid said as she bowed down 'We deserve to be punished" everyone chorused 'Where is diamond, Ajiroba?? The king requested 'We couldn't find him this morning "the chief maid replied 'Where is Ajiroba?? the king shouted 'Yes, my lord" he replied 'Get the guards to go in search of the princess and the bodyguard" he ordered 'Okay, my lord" he replied as he stood up to get the guards They searched everywhere including the whole village and the neighborhood 'My princess, The king requested for you" they as they surrounded them 'Seize him" the guard leader said as they chained the bodyguard 'What are you doing to him?? Let him go!!! He has nothing to do with it "she ordered" as they cover him with a sack 'Princess, let's go ahead" the guard leader said as he carried her on his arm 'Let me go!!! I won't go until you release him "She cried" They took her back to the palace and locked her in her room as requested from the king.
