Chapter 25I dodged my mother for most of the weekend, thanks to my clever father and his brilliant ideas to keep Mom in the dark about my weekend mishap at The Watering Hole. Hiding something from your parents, especially your mother, was never a good idea. Mothers knew almost instantaneously that something was wrong with their kids, even when we didn’t think so. More often than not, the people in charge were always one step ahead of the child. Which was the case with me.
