I wasn’t going to wait for Daphne’s world to crumble before making my move. No. I wanted Troy Armstrong now, while the chaos was fresh and his guard was down. All day at the hospital, my mind spun with plans, each one bolder than the last. During Penelope’s dull ethics lecture, her voice droning about patient care, I barely heard a word, my thoughts fixed on Troy and how I could turn his attention from Daphne to me.
