JEALOUS
Tanghali na ng magising ako kinabukasan, wala na si Ezekiah sa tabi ko. Last night we had the conversation to make this marriage work and the first thing to do that is to be in one room. ‘To know each other more the first thing to do is stick together’ His own words
Bumangon ako, agad na pumasok sa banyo upang maligo at mag ayos ng sarili. fifteen minutes was the time i spend during my bath, pagkatapos ay naglagay ako ng liptint sa labi at pisngi para hindi magmukhang maputla. Nang makitang prisentable na ay bumaba na ako.
I didn’t get lost when i planned to get to the kitchen thank God for that, And what i’ve seen the moment i step there made me stop. Ezekiah was cooking Lunch, his movements was precise, it seems that he was used doing these things in the kitchen.
“Goodnoon” I greeted
He smiled when he saw me, “Sit here and have your brunch, i didn’t wake you up because you were sleeping so soundly”
I chuckled “I hope i didn’t look so horrible when asleep, yesterday events made me feel so beat up” i sat down and observe him
He was slicing the ingredients as he put it in the casserole, “You mouth was open wide and you’re snoring loudly” he smirked as he said those words
Natigilan ako “really?” i tore my stare off him, I know agreeing on sleeping with him in one room would be something i’ll regret! I don’t really snore when it’s normal nights but i know that if i’m really tired i snore, that’s proven and tested and Cassidy can also prove that. “I’ll be sleeping in the guest room tonight!” i said with full conviction, i’m really embarrassed right now
A barked of laughter filled the whole kitchen of that mansion, He was laughing at my misery, I glared at him, do i look that hideous while asleep to make this man laugh so hard?!
“I’m just kidding! you’re sleeping beautifully don’t worry”
“Hindi talaga ako naka nganga o humihilik?” pagsisigurado ko
Natawa siya ulit, his big frame covered me when he went near me, plano ko sanang umatras ng mabilis niyang nahawakan ang balikat ko, it didn’t stay there when his hand cupped my face slightly squishing it, nakasimangot ako pero siya naman ay natatawa
“You did snore wife but still it was cute and I assure you you’re so beautiful, I thought i was sleeping next to the disney sleeping beauty” He smiled childishly at me
THE sound of waves and the breeze of the sea made me feel at ease, nasa isa sa mga rest houses kami na parte ng Beach Resort na pag aari nila. Kahapon ay reserved itong Isla para lamang saamin, pero ngayon ay bukas na ulit ito at may nakikita na akong mga dayuhan na pagala gala, girls only with their bikinis and men topless or with their summer wears.
Napagplanuhan namin ni Ezekiah na mag explore sa isla for two weeks, at dahil maraming activities naman rito sa beach resort, dito na rin namaing naplanuhan na ubusin ang mga araw.
Nakaupo ako sa outdoor lounge, may malaking payong na naging lilim ko mula sa araw, sa gilid ko ay may maliit na mesa at may fresh juice. Nakasuot ako ng puting beach dress, ang buhok ko ay nakatirintas pero hinahangin parin ang mga takas nito. Hind ko alam kung nasaan ngayon si Ezekiah pero ang paalam nito kanina ay may kakausapin lang ito sa telepono.
I brought one of my favourite book, ‘Serendipity Series’ Cassidy would always tell me how she loved this, she recommended this book to me and now i’m drawn with it. And Author nito ang pinaka paborito ni Cassidy at naging isa sa paborito ko narin. Hindi ko alam kung ilang minuto akong babad na babad sa binabasa nang may umupo sa tabi nang lounge chair na kinauupuan ko ngayon, sa una ay iniisip ko na si Ezekiah ito pero nang marinig ko ang di pamilyar na boses ng kung sino ay natigilan ako.
“Alone?” tanong ng mukhang foreigner na nakaupo ngayon malapit saakin, I can say he looked Handsome with those blue orbs and him in his white unbuttoned polo but still i felt uncomfortable.
I didn’t want to answer him but i don’t want to be rude “I’m with my husband” sagot ko, I hope he would get my point.
He looked at my hands, he stared at it for seconds then smiled at me “You look too young to be married”
I just smiled and played the pages of the book i am reading, i didn’t want more interaction, i’m not really used of interaction especially to some strangers. I thought he would leave now because of my attitude but still he wasn’t faded.
“Where’s your husband?” tanong nito uli
“He had something to do” simpleng sagot ko
“If I were your husband, i wouldn’t left you here alone, someone will surely hit on you even with a ring on your finger.” He was still staring intently at me as he said those words
“And i won’t accept any”
“Stil-“ he didn’t finish when i cut him off
“I hope you already got my point” I gived him a serious look “Please leave me alone, As you can see i’m already married, if you don’t see marriage sacred and should be respected and trying to flirt with me, your time would be wasted you won’t get anything from me”
Even with the words I said and the tone of my voice, he managed to give me a smile, a wider smile to be exact.
“I like you” he said smilingly
I looked at him flatly
“I’m Vouston Layson” he introduced himself he offered his hand
I just stared at him flatly when someone smack his head “There you are you dumbass, we’ve been trying to find you”
A man with the same feature as him but looked a little matured than him was the one who smacked him, Vouston glared at this person, when another smack was again hit on him and it was from unexpected person, Ezekiah who’s at the moment looking irritably at Vouston
“You maybe my cousin but i will not just smack you in the head but hurt you in more ways than one if you try to hit on my wife again” masamang masama ang tingin nito kay Vouston, He went near me, guided me to stand up and held my waist tightly.
At teka… pinsan?!
“I’m just trying to meet and know your wife couz, no harm done no need to be jealous” nakangising ani nito
“Pinsan mo?” tanong ko kay Ezekiah, his face softened when he looked at me
“Yes, that’s Vastin Carson” turo niya sa lalaking bumatok kay Vouston, at tinuro naman ngayon si Vouston na nakangiting aso “And that dumbass right here is Vouston Carson, they’re brothers” pagpatuloy nito
“Stop calling me dumbass! i’m a genius for God sake” nakasimangot na ito
“That only thing you’re genius about is whôring yourself and sêx” Vastin stated earning a glare from his brother
“Says the person who just bang and run!”
“Still you’re a dumbass” Nakangiting aso na sagot ni Vastin
Mukhang napikon na ang kapatid rito “Oh fûck you!”
“Let’s go?” tanong ni Ezekiah saakin sa gilid ko, nakalahad ang kamay at planong iwanan ang dalawang parang mag aaway na.
Ngumiti ako at tinanggap ang kamay niya, “Let’s go”
“Hey where are you both going?” ilang hakbang na ang nagawa namin ng marinig ang tanong ng dalawa, lumingon naman si Ezekiah at binigyan sila ng masamang tingin
“Spend our time exploring the island, why?” tanong ko
Ngumisi naman ang dalawa at dali daling lumapit saamin “Can we tag in? We were absent in the wedding yesterday. We want to experience a honeymoon vacation too” tanong ni Vouston
“No! marry someone and have your own honeymoon vacation, wag kayong istorbo” Umapila agad si Ezekiah
“Dude that’s just mean” panguso nguso pa si Vastin
“You’re both together, why don’t you spend quality time with each other?” nakangising ani ni Ezekiah, sumimangot naman ang dalawa
“Enjoy the scenery” ani ko naman
Agad na nag libot ang tingin ng dalawa, nakita kong napako ang tingin nila sa grupo ng mga turistang babae na nakabikini, seems that they’re pretty distracted now.
Nang may marealize ako ay agad akong lumingon sa asawa, i expect him to be looking at the tourist who’s wearing bikinis too same with his cousins but he was not, he was staring at me smiling.
“Tara na?” nakangiting tanong niya
Pinaliitan ko siya ng mata, natawa naman siya at hinila na ako palayo sa dalawang nag iba na ata ang plano.
HE was maneuvering the yacht that we got from their beach resort, they own one that were always used for yacht parties, or when some guest or tourists rents it, As he maneuvered, i couldn’t stop staring at him, He looked so precise and… hot at the same time, with the visible veins in his arms as he manipulate the yacht, his frame and the aura that surrounds him, the view of the wide horizon and the islands was made more breathtaking because he was one of it.
We stop in the middle of the sea, the island isn’t really visible now, i can see some boat around here, but it isn’t that near. Ezekiah turned and smiled at me, “Let’s fish?” tanong niya tumango at agad akong tumayo, bumaba kami patungo sa deck, kung saan nandoon na ang mga kagamitan para sa paghuli ng isda.
Inayos niya ang isang fishing rod, nilagyan ng bait at ibinigay saakin, siya rin ay nag handa nang sakanya at nang matapos ay ipinakita saakin kung paano ito gamitin, he guided me in everything. Tawang tawa pa nang makitang nahirapan akong ihagis sa malayo ang mahabang parang sinulid na may nakakabit na hook at bait.
Ilang sandaling ngingiti ngiti siyang nakatingin saakin, gumawi siya sa likuran ko para tulungan akong itapon ito sa malayo, he was hugging me from behind as he guided me, I should be focusing on how he guides me but i was so focused on his manly smell, his warmth, the way he hold my hand and how husky his voice is, whispering.
“Relax wife” Those words made me wake up from my reverie. I felt so embarrassed when i realized i was so stiff and bit shaking in his embrace.
“Hold it tight” ani niya, nasa likuran ko parin siya yakap ako mas hinigpitan ang hawak sa kamay ko kung saan hawak hawak rin ang fishing rod, my reaction was nothing, i was too fluttered, too speechless to speak.
Napatingin ako sa fishing rod niya sa gilid, if he would just stay behind me, what if the rod would catch anything? but still him, behind me isn’t bad, the sea breeze felt cold and i’m only wearing a beach sleeveless dress with a bikini underneath, being in his embrace makes me feel warm. So i didn’t mind that thought.
“woah!” i cheered when i felt the fishing rod twitch, then it felt like something pulling it, it’s a bit hard to manage, but with Ezekiah’s help we managed to get the fish out of the water and it turns out we caught a large tuna fish.
The fish was wiggling and seems to struggle a lot, i got a bit sprinkled of the sea water because it was moving a lot, Ezekiah got it out from the hook and put it inside the bucket half filled with water, I hurriedly bent down and checked it, the fish was hardly swimming around trying to fit into that bucket. I was so focused staring on it when he put another fish, another kind and bit smaller than the first caught.
I looked up at him, he was smiling looking at me but then he suddenly suppressed it, “Bakit?” nagtataka kong tanong, he might suppress his smile but his eyes glisten with amusement.
“What dish do you plan to have the tuna?” tanong niya, napangiwi naman ako, I kinda felt bad to cook the tuna, it migh be a little embarrassing but it was my first catch in my eighteen years of life, I have never done fishing before. I want to keep it alive
“I ahm” i hesitated but because he was waiting for an answer, feeling all embarrassed “Can we keep it alive?” I asked
He chuckled after hearing that, “You plan to keep it as a pet?”
Namula ako at hindi agad masagot ang tanong niya. He might think i am weird, who would get a tuna as a pet?
“Then let’s get a tank and maybe put it in the mansion if you want to, or put in a pond, I remember we have a unused pond located at the center of garden at the back of the mansion” he smiled as he said those words
I shyly nodded at him, “You would let the tuna live?” I asked
“I surely wanted to have it for dinner but if keeping it as a pet makes my wife happy then i would gladly do so” He said as he ruffled my hair
