DEATH IN BERBYSHIRE
Chapter 1:
Eliza woke up feeling so energetic and determined for her job. She washed up and got dressed to start her day.
She was looking sumptuous with her smooth skin under her pink g-string and bra. Her boob can overfill a hand mold, her hips are also nicely curved.
She has very long blonde hair flowing through her back, her onyx eyes and smooth face almost made her look like a Barbie doll. She was too beautiful to behold that she sometimes fell in love with herself, well, that's for her self-esteem though.
She got her pink flowery gown, which she wore with black stiletto heels, and tied a scarf around her neck. She made her way out and boarded a taxi to work.
"I hope Mr Mark shows up at work today." She said as she sighed.
Mark is her boss and the CEO of MarkinBank, he's one of the youngest CEOs in their country. He's industrious and very determined, but he is calm and reserved.
He prefers working from home and comes to the headquarters when it's necessary.
Eliza was his secretary, her job was simple;- relating all information, documents, reports, complaints, and other related stuff to him. But that wasn't all she was doing, she also added to her KPI some other duties like;- flirting, seduction, and having rounds and rounds of s*x with him in her head.
Mark wasn't bothered by her flirting as long as her duties were delivered meticulously, he was so okay with her. He was never rude to her but never paid any attention to her flirts and seduction.
Moments later, she arrived at the bank's headquarters where she worked, she walked to the lift and took it to the last floor where her and Mark's offices were located. Her small office was located just adjacent to Mark's office.
She clicked on her laptop immediately after she sat down, only for her to receive an email that her boss was on his way.
She was surprised, he normally pre-informs her a few hours before coming, but this was sudden. As she tried to arrange her documents awaiting the arrival of her boss, boom, he was here.
Mark walked in wearing a black tuxedo with a bow tie, his hair smooth as silk, and waved to the back with a slim strand of curly hair dropping down his face right above his left eye.
His face is smoothly chiseled, with broad shoulders that show his firm body. He walked up to Eliza who was confused as she arranged some documents.
"Good morning, get the life assurance documents ready. Contact all departments involved in insurance across all banks, and tell them I need a concise report from all of them before the work day ends." Mark ordered.
"Yes sir," Eliza replied quickly with a warm smile.
Mark walked into his office while two armed guards stood by the door. Eliza quickly sent a mail as instructed, she arranged some documents and walked into Mark's office.
"Here are the documents sir," Eliza said while dropping the files on his table.
"Sir, any urgency or emergency? You look too serious today." Eliza asked still maintaining her poise.
"I'll be coming to work more often henceforth. I need to work more on my employees and my businesses before it goes down. Most of them aren't doing their jobs, that's why I asked for those documents and reports." Mark said still maintaining a serious look on his face.
"Is there anything I can help with?" Eliza asked politely.
"Nothing you can do for now, you'll just have to wait for any other instruction from me. It's not like you can do anything to help me run the bank." Mark said.
"Then I can go back to my desk?" Eliza.
"Sure, you're dismissed for now." Mark dismissed her.
Eliza couldn't help but wonder what could have gone wrong in the bank that's making Mark want to resume often. She quickly reached for her phone to search for MarkinBank and its welfare.
They were doing good, even with the insurance and assurance sectors. They were even top ten banks that month, what could have gone wrong? Or maybe is just an internal affair.
It was almost the end of the work day, Eliza always threw glances at her boss's door expecting he would come anytime. But he was stuck inside for the whole day, and it was almost closing time. She began packing up her stuff to go home, It seemed like he was going to remain in that office for ages.
"Tyler." "Yes sir," Mark called out to one of his guards as he finally made his way out of his office, with the guard responding immediately.
"We're going to my spot. Inform them right away of my coming." Mark instructed as he walked out without even looking at Eliza.
He was going to his favorite bar, he'd always inform them of his coming so they could prepare the best of drinks, food, m*******a, and women for him.
Eliza had also tried to find this bar so she could at least meet up with him, they might have their chance together. But it seems like his favorite bar isn't of this world as her searches have never brought her to him.
As she walked to the lobby, she heard an announcer from the big TV at the bank hall giving a report.
"... Yet another death reported at Shire county. It still has the same patterns of killing as the previous murder cases reported on our channel;- their skins dry as though dehydrated, no single blood found in them, and several deep cuts on their bodies especially the neck..." The announcer reported while Eliza turned to watch the news.
It got to a point in the news that the announcer started arguing with a guest on the show.
"... I think, and I'm sure, this is the work of a vampire. No wild animals can do this, at least not the skin drying up. We have got a demon in our midst..." The guest said."Mr Eric, please don't make unfounded allegations. You're misleading the public. The police are still searching and they have a lead that it might be a certain kind of bear breed doing this..." The announcer countered.
They went back and forth in the argument that it may or may not be a vampire. For once, Eliza thought about this news, she couldn't even make anything of it as she was confused as well.
"Well, let the police do their job. And thank God it's never gotten to Berbyshire town." Eliza said to herself as she walked out of the bank.
Of course, she was so confident that the series of deaths hadn't gotten to their town. But immediately she left the bank hall, the announcer reported another story.
"... Breaking! we just have reports now of another death but in a different town this time. It would be the first for this town. Two ladies were killed in the same pattern as the previous one we just reported, and their bodies were found in Berbyshire. It's also believed they're also from Berbyshire making it the first to be reported from that town." The TV echoed, but Eliza was far gone to hear this.
