CHAPTER ONE:FALL OF A QUEEN
Chapter 1: The Fall of a Queen
Eve Corvin sat upon her throne, her crimson eyes surveying the grand hall of the Vampire Court. For one hundred and fifty years, she had ruled with absolute power, her word law, her strength unmatched. Under her reign, the vampire race had risen to dominance, commanding fear and respect across the supernatural realm. But tonight, the court was silent.
Too silent.
A flicker of unease crawled up her spine as she gazed at the assembled nobles—faces she had fought alongside, creatures she had trusted. And standing at the front of them, with a calm, unwavering stare, was Elsa King—her most loyal subordinate. Or so she had believed.
"You dare to kneel before me in false loyalty?" Eve’s voice cut through the silence like a blade. "Speak, Elsa. What is this?"
Elsa, golden-haired and cold-eyed, exhaled softly. "My Queen," she said, her tone devoid of remorse. "It is time for a new era."
Before Eve could react, a surge of power erupted from the nobles around her. Dark energy crackled in the air as ancient spells bound her in place, locking her limbs, stripping her strength. She clenched her jaw, fury rising. A coup. A betrayal.
"You think you can kill me?" Eve’s voice remained steady, even as pain lanced through her. She met Elsa’s gaze, unwavering.
"No," Elsa murmured. "But we can erase you."
The air trembled. The spell intensified. They were sealing her.
Eve gritted her teeth, calling on her vast reserves of power, but something was wrong. Her strength—the very essence that made her Queen—was slipping away, vanishing into the void.
And then—
CRACK!
A deafening explosion shook the palace. The sky itself seemed to split open as a blinding lightning strike tore through the throne room, striking the very center of the chamber. The force sent the nobles reeling, their spell breaking apart in an instant.
Eve had no time to react. The ground beneath her feet twisted, warped—a rift in space opening beneath her.
Elsa’s eyes widened in shock. "No—!"
Too late. The vortex swallowed Eve whole.
Darkness. Silence. Falling.
And then—
Impact.
---
Eve’s body slammed into hard ground, the breath ripped from her lungs. A scent filled her nose—wet earth, gasoline, something unnatural. Not the supernatural realm.
She groaned, vision swimming, her limbs heavy and weakened.
Above her, the sky was unfamiliar—filled with strange, glowing lights that stretched along tall structures. Small, metal beasts moved in neat rows, their eyes glowing white and red.
A world alien to her.
And then—a voice.
"Are you okay?"
A man knelt beside her, concern in his gaze. He reached out, shaking her shoulder gently.
Eve’s head throbbed. Her strength was gone. Her power—vanished.
For the first time in her existence, Eve Corvin was powerless.
And she had no idea where she was
