(Rowan) I sat on the bank of the lake, my jeans rolled up so I could dip my feet in the cool water. I looked up at the sun filled sky and smiled as the warmth hit my face. I couldn't think of a time I had felt so peaceful. My mind felt unburdened. No worries in my head. I didn't mind the solitude. I heard quiet footsteps in the sand behind me and smiled, expecting Tess. But when I looked to my right I was shocked to see a little girl sitting beside me. She looked about 7 or 8. She had her auburn waves flowing down her back, little butterfly pins pulled it back on each side of her head by her ears. She wore a pink jumper, and her toe nails matched her outfit. I watched her curiously. She turned her head toward me and I sucked in a sharp breath. She had the most stunning aqua violet eyes
