Ellie was furious. She used some choice words about my parents and expressed her dismay about their reaction to Rowan. I was afraid to tell her Dimitri wanted my hand in marriage because then I'd have to admit he and I had been together. I felt awful for harboring that secret from her but I couldn't bring myself to tell her. We ended the call with Ellie saying she'd bring me my essentials in a little while.
