Chapter 16I heard the soft knock on the door and got up to answer it.
“Hi, the A…” and Andy turned away.
“Oh, I’m sorry.” I realized that I was naked. It had never bothered me before, but the animals viewed my nudity differently than people do. I closed the door in front of me, leaving just enough room to peek around it.
“The ATV is here,” Andy said. “Where do you want it?”
“Uh…have them unload it at the fence gate beside the barn. I’ll be out as soon as I get dressed.”
“All right,” and Andy went to get the ATV unloaded. I guess my day has started. What time was it? I rummaged my phone out from under the pile of clothes on the floor. It was ten-thirty already. What time did we finally fall asleep? Had that really been the sky starting to lighten when I looked out the window last night
