Arya Today is the day that Finn, my fated mate, is meant to mark me and officially claim me in front of the whole pack. You can imagine the excitement I am feeling right now, and the best part is that Finn is next in line to be the alpha of the pack. I may be a little nervous about the role, but I am ready for the challenge. I am ready to be his Luna and officially bare his mark, as I have already given everything to him, including my virginity. I always remember that night like it was yesterday. The way he kissed me under the moonlight as he whispered words of promise to me. The way he took my body as sparks flew between us. His kisses were the most gentle, yet they held a touch of roughness that left me craving more and more. He is my mate, after all, and my wolf and I were yearning for more of him. Before I knew it, Finn and I would see each other often and do more love-making. I have seen how women check him out at every chance they get. “Why is it because you once had a huge crush on me?” He teases with a sheepish smile. I blush hard, I can feel the color filling up my face, and he finally lets out a low chuckle. “I didn’t have a huge crush on you!” I deny effortlessly as I try to play it cool. If anything, he looks more amused with his aqua blue eyes. “Yeah, I would have believed that if your cheeks were not tainted red.” He rubs my cheeks, and I swat his hand away. Of course, he chuckles before staring at my lips. He lifts his gaze and tucks a loose black strand behind my ear as he looks directly into my golden eyes. His eyes get softer, and he leans in. My lips meet his. His kiss is slow and gentle. His lips are soft with a sweet taste to them. My tongue dances with his till I suck on his lower lip. He smiles into the kiss, and I can’t help but fall harder for this man that the moon goddess gave me. My wolf Mystic, is happy. I can feel the excitement she spreads throughout my body. He finally pulls away and continues to caress my cheek. “I am happy that you turned out to be my mate too,” He places his lips on my forehead, and my heartbeats faster. The sparks are strong, and the bond is willing us to mark each other soon. Finn takes in a deep breath, and his eyes momentarily appear bloody red before he closes them. I bare my neck to him. “You can mark me right now. I will keep the mark hidden till we are on the stage.” “No,” he growls out. His sharp canines are already peeking through his plump pink lips. “I have to honor my mate. I will wait till the end of the day to mark you in front of everyone, as well as officially announce to them that you are my fated mate.” He blinks a few times before his eyes get back to normal. “It’s just Ash… he doesn’t want to wait until the full moon to mark you,” Right, his wolf, Ash. He is very fond of me and has already bonded with Mystic. These two have given us a hard time over the past year, but now it’s finally time for them to get what they want, and the Full Moon Claiming ceremony is the perfect place to do it. It’s a sacred ceremony performed by all packs, and that’s when mates are meant to be claimed and marked. It comes once every two months. This is also to test the mates' honor toward each other. “You are the best Finn.” We are finally marking each other tonight. I really can’t wait to wear Finn’s mark on my neck proudly and to see the look on the unmated females faces when they see who my mate is. “I think I should go before our wolves do something stupid, or we are seen together.” I peck his lips and quickly rush off before he can stop me. I run out of our secret hiding spot. It’s a cave within the pack that pack members are afraid of visiting because of some myths. Finn and I made that place ours. We even stocked it with all the stuff we would need, making it into a cozy den for love-making. I leave the place and head back home. It’s still early morning, as I snuck as early as three am. At home, nobody noticed I was gone, as they are still sleeping. At night, I am adorned in a beautiful white dress. One that reached my knees. The she-wolves look pretty tonight, and the men are as handsome as ever. My eyes sweep across the crowd but don’t locate the one person I want to see. ‘He will come. Don't worry,’ Mystic assures me when she senses my anxiety in the connection we share. ‘But why isn’t he here yet? I thought he would be one of the first to be here,’ I whine to her. She is already used to my drama by now. After all, I received her at 18 years, and we have been together for two years. It's enough for us to have that bond. ‘Ask Felix where he is.’ Mystic suggests, and I smile. Of course, who would know better where he is than his Twin brother. I search the crowd and locate Felix interacting with one of the warriors of the pack. I make my way to him, squeezing through pack members until he finally sees me and sends the warrior away. “You look stunning tonight, Arya.” He smiles charmingly, and I smile too. “Thanks Felix. You look just as dashing, too,” I blush. And he chuckles. “May I ask where Finn is tonight?” “Oh, Finn, you didn’t hear. He went missing early this morning. We have looked for him, but it’s like he ran away. He left a small note behind, saying he needed to leave this place, and we shouldn’t search for him. He didn’t explain why.” Felix’s words send my heart crushing, like a ton of bricks have fallen on me. “No, he can’t leave.” Felix doesn’t argue; he only reaches out in his pocket and takes out a small piece of paper. It’s Finn’s neat handwriting. I would know it from anywhere, as we wrote each other cute notes most times. I read the contents of the note, and it is as Felix said. “He has left, just like that,” “Yes he did.” “Is there anything you wanted to talk about with him?” He asks, looking confused. Of course, no one knows about Finn and me. Everyone knows him to be the nonchalant type of man who never gets along with anyone. “No it’s fine,” I turn around before the tears can fall as I walk away. Finn has left me.
