Severin pulled out a chair for Ruby, so that she could sit down. “What's the surprise?" she asked in confusion. Was he really not angry anymore? Did he forget how he reacted last night? “Eat your breakfast while I tell you," Severin suggested. “I already ate," he added. Ruby did not have much of an appetite. Something about Severin's attitude last night made her feel a little bit uneasy in his company. She felt angry with him, because his behaviour was out of line, in her opinion. “How would you like it if I bought you an apartment in New York City?" he asked, as he held Ruby's hands and looked into her eyes. Ruby always felt as if she was melting whenever he looked into her eyes like that. She then forgave him immediately. “Wow! That's no small investment," Ruby responded curiously
