Ruby was not so sure that she had heard properly. Was Severin mentioning a marriage? But it was not to her? The dishcloth and the plates which she was carrying back to the kitchen slipped from her grasp and crashed on the floor.
“Wait, Ruby! Careful now!" Severin exclaimed and reached out to help pick up the broken pieces of glass.
