The escape path turned into a canyon pass. The peaks of the mountains, even the tops of the cliffs, became lost in the narrow winding canyon. Barely broad enough for a wagon, this would’ve been a much better place to try the beast bomb. The small slot canyon he now walked narrowed at the top, letting in little sunlight. The entire canyon was cast in shadows, and above he could see the orange glow on the rocks as the sun reflected.
