Her play house.
It was during the mid-winter when Kate Blue caught cold. Shivering under the covers of her blankets, "Kate! Kate!" a sweet little warm voice with much worries, came a running young mark, "I brought your favourite flowers, your going to get better". Then he walked over like a grown gentleman. "I know Kate you needed me to keep you warm, I'm offering my help". Then he wrapped his small arms around Kate. "thank you Brother Mark!"as she felt warmer. "I want to play" she announced. "I promise to play with you when you get better, you'll be my little princess and I'll come to save you, okay".he promised her.
He had played the prince once while Kate was playing by herself in her little playhouse. From that moment it made her to think of the fairytales and princesses stories and would like to play over and over again.
With much of impatience to get better, she could finally get out of bed. It was after a week she returned to school and found out that her prince had transferred. It angered her to the point that she cried so hard at home. Then she asked her mom who had known but keep it secret." My dear stop crying, mommy will play with you, okay!".her mom comforted her "He had transferred just this morning, it was sudden so I couldn't tell you".
A knock came from the door. It was misses Shelly the house keeper in Mark's home. She brought a big parcel and said it's from your prince. Wondering what it was she ask her mom to help out. As they unpack "Mom!"...she said in exclaimed "Mom!! this is the most beautiful playhouse, it is a princess castle!"..she was happy but not long after she realised "but, is this a farewell gift". She asked, " aunt Shelly, when will brother come back". Aunt Shelly only said very soon.
"Kate!" "Kate!" Mercy called out "what is it that keeps you daydreaming again" "just thinking about our basketball drill". she replied. Taking a deep breath she stares blankly at the scenaries outside the window. There was a shadow of sadness and loneliness. "I wondered, sometimes when very soon means a lifetime, and you knew the person you miss is far away." she said wearily "Mercy!, if ever you happen to meet the person you had not seen for 9 years. but he/she doesn't remember you or becomes a different person, how would you feel? ". "why? are you worried that Mark would forget you." Mercy replied unconcerned as she read a novel about 'teenage love' "Poor Kate, do you still adore that cute playhouse and keep it." "You better forget about him. He'ld probably get a girlfriend. It's time you move on. You were only kids back then. Now you are the prettiest chic, how many handsome boys are you going to turn down".
Kate was the prettiest and smartest in her school. She was titled the "unbeatable beauty" and was the best cheerleader. However, it so occurred to her that she missed her prince.
