Third person p.o.v.
Sandra is in the pack hospital munching on her Pringles while reading one of her favorite novels the vampires diary, she’s been staying indoors since her mother left. That’s her safe place, where she could be herself and be free from the bullies and prying eyes that is always looking at her like she’s a meat.
There are rooms in the hospital made for them at the pack, it is fully equipped with everything they needed just like a normal house.
Since her mother left, she only go out to practice some of the moves she pictured in her head, she’s never been alone to the extent that her mother had traveled for days and this is killing her, even though her mother talks to her every single day, it still did not feel the same without her by her side. She missed the way they gist and laughs about almost everything. Her mother is her best friend and her confidante.
Luna came around to pay her a visit and also cheer her up a little, she knows how the pack treated her so she didn’t bother to ask her to come and join her in the pack house, she wouldn’t want to refuse her request so she didn’t bother to invite her over because of how they looked at her, even if she’s the Luna she can’t always see what is happening or what the whole pack are doing at up to all the time.
She gave her many novels about werewolves, vampires, werebears and also shifters who are very rare, while reading the book, she learnt that shifters are legends and all there lineage had been executed years ago but it was also said that some were rumored to have escaped and not even a trace of them could be seen since year’s back.
This Shifters can shift to any type of animals they want and also to human, nobody know their true forms and everyone was not interested in them since they think they are dangerous and more powerful than them, they possessed magic which is very rare to the other species. A werewolf with magic power will be worshipped if they were to be ever born. There are stories about werewolves with magical powers but none that I’ve seen. This may be because I haven’t left this pack ground before, who knows if I go to other packs and explore outside of this pack, I will answers to all the questions in my mind. I think I’m the only one that believes about another new life different from the ones we know in the Moonlight pack.
Unbelievably, she got addicted to this novels and started getting close to the part that talked about shifters, she’s very interested in shifters than the rest of the species since all she’s been hearing about in all her life is werewolves and vampires and no one ever made mention of the shifters.
Since when she’s been in the pack hospital , minor injuries are the ones that she was privileged enough to attend to whenever her mother’s assistant is not around, and she’s been more than helpful to them. Some of the injured even showed her appreciation sometimes ago which is very rare, she was happy when she got to know not all of them are wary of her. Honestly, it’s not easy to know who loves her or not.
Sandra p.o.v.
I’m in love with all these novels especially the shifters but I don’t know why I’m drawn to it, I will continue the reading later.
I shrugged off the feelings I have been having since dawn, I don’t know what is it but I’m sure it’s nothing good, I don’t like this feelings at all, I hope my mother is safe wherever she may be. I notice the pack is surprisingly calm nowadays, no rogues attack, maybe they know the pack is more than ready for them, but to be frank we relented in our training .
And now that I think of it, the security are not that tight like before, they are careless and relaxing as if there’s no more rogues again. There may not be rogue attacks but there is always danger lurking in the shadows waiting to pry on his opponents.
I just hope this feelings is not only from my side so everyone will be very careful and not act carelessly.
Boom!
Suddenly everything seems to stop at once and I was frozen in my place after hearing that sound, I just hope it’s not what I’m thinking, I went outside to check what’s wrong but everywhere is in chaos, the rogues have taken charge and everything is in slow motion, Luna is motioning everyone that can’t fight to go inside the pack underground house where they will be safe including me but I will not answer her, I’m not some Barbie doll to keep safe, I will fight alongside my pack “yeah! You heard me, my pack, even with all the things they did, part of me still care for them, because they could have killed me at the pack border but no they didn’t do that, so because of that I’m fighting alongside them”.
Luna was shaking her head and telling to come but it’s too late to even join her because they are already moving towards her and one rogue is going their way, the old and children were still running to safety, rogues are disgusting, why can’t they fight with the people on the pack ground rather than following the ones that are clearly weaker than them.I just hope I’m strong enough to save them in time, I thought out loud.
