Sharon headed to her office at home, in the basement. The messages from the notes sent to Melanie ringing through her head. Someone was sending a message. It sounded like revenge, which gave some plausibility to the idea that Sam DaCosta was involved, but he was in prison. The other brother was counting his days, one sister was caring for a bundle of kids, and the other sister lived in California. Of course, there was also a possibility that Melanie was simply trying to shift the focus from herself. Her story was curious.
