Kidnapped

Rena kept biting her lower lip since the trip. She was afraid she would be late for work. She had imagined how crowded the restaurant would be today. She could imagine the angry face of the shopkeeper who would be red up to his neck from scolding her for being late. Her heart was restless. She didn't want to work today. She was afraid of Mr. Lee's threats. That's how she remembered the man whose coffee she spilled chasing after a suspicious person yesterday. Since she was in her room early, she didn't want to go to work. That is until Aunt Zena knocked on her door because she hadn't been out all day, perhaps to help her take care of the children at the orphanage who were preparing to go to church on Sunday. She was scared, and uncertain at the same time. The taxi stopped. She got out and paid for the taxi. As she looked ahead, her steps stopped short. There were indeed a lot of people around the restaurant. However, it wasn't to visit or enjoy a meal. There was a yellow police tape line blocking the place. Her breath caught for a moment. People were crowded together, rumors coming out of their mouths. Police were seen going back and forth from the bottom of the river to the banks, and above the surface. He saw some policemen in a boat painstakingly picking up a corpse floating in the river near the restaurant, dragging it up. They immediately put the corpse in a body bag and ran the boat to the bank. "The man is right... there is a corpse there?!" Rena almost screeched. She immediately covered her mouth. That man was not an ordinary person. Was he indeed a psychic? "Miss Rena?" Just as Rena turned around to see who was calling her, a big man hugged her from behind. He covered her nose with a handkerchief. She was about to rebel, but as she inhaled the handkerchief she felt sleepy, and her vision darkened. "What... happened?" She questioned that silently for a moment until she didn't realize it at all. *** "...He will wake up soon, Mr. Lee." She heard those words at a glance. She wanted to open her eyes, but they felt heavy. Her head felt dizzy. What was going on? Why did she hear a stranger's voice there? "Hey, wake up. I know you're awake." She recognized this voice. So, she rubbed her eyes and blinked. She saw a man still dressed formally, observing her. Thick glasses were still perched on the man's nose. When she looked to her left, there was a woman dressed in black and white wearing an apron, bowing gracefully to her. "You ... where am I?" She held her head, which was still dizzy. The last thing she remembered was that she had taken a taxi to the cafe-restaurant where she worked. Someone was calling her, then she couldn't remember anything else. "Mr. Lee, where is this? Why are you here?!" "Lady, welcome to the place where you belong." Lee just shrugged, getting up from the big bed he was sitting on. "What do you mean?" "Don't you remember? I gave you both a gift and a punishment. And this is where you'll be for the rest of your life." "What the hell?!" Rena quickly got rid of the blanket that was covering her body. She was about to run away when Lee stopped her. "Get out of the way! I have to work! And what the hell do I have to do here for the rest of my life?! I'm a free woman!" "Lady, don't ever think you can run away from here safely." Rena scrunched up her waist, her face very serious. "Just because you're a rich man, you can't keep me as you want, honorable Mr. Lee! What's so hard about you making up the bill and letting me pay it?" "Are you smart or stupid?" Lee shook his head in astonishment. "If I demand that you pay for all the damage you've caused, you won't be able to do it for the rest of your life." "Ha. No way. That's just your trick. Alright, let me go." She recklessly went through Lee without knowing where this area was. She could guess that this rich man's villa-like house could have been the man's choice, but she already didn't care. She saw a large white-painted door. Opening it herself without the help of the waiter, who was still gawking as he watched her leave. And when she opened the door, she saw that the sky had already fallen into the night. She stopped for a moment. A bit afraid of her actions. But even staying here felt horrible. However, how could she go home without knowing where she was? "Nevermind." She walked the path alone barefoot, only her sleeping clothes clinging to her body. And as Lee watched him from the doorstep, a servant approached him and asked, "Sir, are you sure she's walking alone?" "She'll be back, trust me." Along the way to leaving the Lee residence, Rena grumbled. How could she have forgotten her uniform, as well as her bag and cell phone? They must have hidden them. But, going back was risky. "I think I might never see the outside world again." She felt like she was walking like a homeless woman. All she passed were vineyards with a few roadside lights. When would he find the highway? There was no energy left to run. Rena held her hungry stomach. Should she have eaten before running away? She began to regret her decision to run away on her own. Seeing the sky with lumpy clouds, she hugged herself as the wind hit her body. What bad luck. "Hey, Miss. Are you alone? Want to come with me?" A black car suddenly stopped beside her. Rena shook her head but continued on her way. She could not accept help from a stranger and chose to ignore him. "Hey, you're so arrogant. Answer me!" "No. And thank you." "What a slut." The car was driven by a man whose face was flushed from being drunk. How surprised Rena was when suddenly the car door beside her opened, and the man quickly got out and caught her. "Wh-what are you doing?! Let me go!" "Mr. Lee ordered you not to touch her." "What do you mean, that nerd Lee? Haha, just try to stop me. Tell him this b***h is mine now." "Mr. Lee ordered me to finish you off if you refuse." How surprised Rena was when Phill pulled her out of the car, punching him multiple times. "Mr. Phill! Stop! You're going to kill him!" "Stop, damn it!" "Mr. Lee ordered me to stop." The battered man was immediately picked up by the assistant, who was also initially helpless. They immediately drove the car away from the two of them. "Mr. Lee ordered me to take you back to the mansion." "Wh-what?! I don't want to." "Mr. Lee ordered that you will be carried if you refuse." And Rena's body felt upside down as Phill suddenly lifted her body from the waist, slinging it over his shoulder like he was carrying a sack of rice. "Hey! Put me down! Mr. Phill! My head is spinning!" "Mr. Lee ordered you not to be put down until the pick-up car arrives." As much as she rebelled, she finally gave up. Rena was almost out of breath and had pain in her stomach. Not long after, a black car came and stopped beside them. There was a middle-aged man in full uniform when he opened the windshield. "Mr. Phill, I'm picking you up." Phill nodded. He put Rena down, slightly forcing her to get into the car. Rena breathed a sigh of relief that she was rescued, but also nervousness and fear. Her stomach was in knots all at once. If she went back to the mansion, it meant that she had no freedom anymore. That's how she interpreted Lee's words. She gulped with difficulty. "Mr. Phill, can't Mr. Lee give me a chance to make amends?" Phill did not respond. His body was upright, and his gaze was straight ahead. Rena exhaled heavily. It felt futile to ask this man. He was like a robot, only listening to Lee's orders. Rena bit her nails. The nervousness was getting more and more pronounced. Her forehead was sweating, even though she was in a car with the air conditioner on maximum. And now, after passing through the seemingly endless vineyard, they arrived back at Lee's residence. Phill opened the door for Rena. Rena, who was about to run away again, was prevented and she was picked up again by Phill. Rena bit her nails. The nervousness was getting more and more pronounced. "Mr. Lee ordered me to carry you to him." "Aaah!"
