2. Thank you

1500 Words
As I said, I came earlier today to look around, and it did not really help. Not right now at least, because I can't find the damn room 232. Why are there so many doors? "Andrea? Where is 232?" I ask, but she does not hear me as she texts on her phone. I look around at all the doors as we stand with my locker. Nothing, not my number, but Dandy is standing in front of her own locker as she finds her books. Her hair is up in the same tight ponytail. Even though I am just seeing the side of her. I know she has the same look on her face. Where she did not smile or even show a hint of emotion. Okay, Andrea might have something right. Dandy seems scary, but that is not enough for me to judge someone. She does not just look frightening, but very confident and dominating. I mean, you would not go into a fight with her. Without losing your dignity and get something broken. God, I make her sound like the Hulk, which is not true. Dandy, might be taller and stronger than most of the girls, but it must just be the look on her face that makes her more intimidating. Because she is as thin as I am, but her arms and legs have more muscles than I have. She must work out a lot. The bell rings. "Dammit." I groan as I hit my locker closed. "Andr..." I turn around, but she is not behind me. How lost was I in my thoughts? Really? She is walking down the hallway with her eyes glued to the phone. "Andrea!" I shout and finally I get her attention as she turns around. She moves her hands out, annoyed and asking me what the hell is it. "Where is 232?"I yell and I can see all the way over her that she is rolling her eyes. "Down the hall!" She shouts pointing behind me. Down the hall? Seriously? I don't know how many times I have heard that now and ended up somewhere completely else. "Thank you!" I say I walk backwards looking at her shaking her head as she keep on moving down the hallway and disappears down the corner. I turn around, only to bump into someone. "Oh god, I'm so sorry." I say and meet hard hazel eyes, which makes my own blue widen. She just stares at me, intensely. She is not even moving. Just her chest up and down with her breathing and her eyes blinking. It's like having a staring contest with a statue. After a little while, she tilts her head, and her eyes end on the note that I am carrying. She reaches out her hand like she is asking me to hand it over, so I do. Dandy takes it and watches the number. Then hand it back to me. I don't know, but I think a saw a little softness come across her face. She starts walking from where she came from and look back at me as a hint for me to follow. I shrug to myself as her eyes are on me, and start walking after her. I don't know, but I think she is leading me to my classroom. Which is kind of her. She stops in front of one of the many red doors and there is my number 232. Dandy turns to watch me with her cold eyes and her jaw very tense. "Thank you." I smile very gratefully because I think she needs someone to tell her that. She might be a little scary, and her silence does not make it better, but I am not letting that stop me. "You are actually the first one that has shown me where to go." I say and laugh very lightly because it might be weird that Andrea is telling me to stay away from her. When Dandy is really the first one that is kind enough to help me to find the right door. Still, she is just standing there looking down at me. I don't think she knows that it is rude to stare, but I kind of don't mind. Her eyes are stunning, not just her eyes, but all of her. Dandy's whole face is just breathtaking. Her full, pink lips. Her strong cheekbones, which makes her look like she is biting her inner cheeks. Her blond hair that fits her perfectly in that ponytail. Then she nods slowly with a tiny smile as she turns back to where we came from. That scar on her neck must have hurt a lot. Maybe she is a fighter after all. I roll my eyes of myself. "I told you to stay away from her!" Andrea says very annoyed as she drags me by the wrist down the hallway. Apparently, a friend of hers saw Dandy and me, when she showed me the way to my class. Something I am very thankful for, since everyone, is treating me like I am not here. "She just showed me where to go." I explain to my cousin that is holding my wrist so tight, that my hand might fall off. She stops and I crash into her. "Still, just keep your distance!" She says so angrily that I take a step back. Someone stood up on the wrong foot today. "Dandy was kind enough to take me to my class," In silence with her intimidating gaze. "To which someone else is not good at." I look at Andrea to widen eyes so she understands who I am pointing at. Andrea only rolls her eyes. "There are numbers on the door!" She tells me in frustration, waving her hands. I take a deep, deep breath. I rub my forehead with my hand to keep myself from shouting at her. "Just," She sounds calmer. "Stay away from her, she is bad." I put my hand over my mouth to keep the laugh away as she turns to walk away from me in a rush. "Dammit!" I shout because I don't know where my classroom is as always. I roll on my heel to spin around. "Oh god!" I yell as I almost bumped into the taller girl again. Her eyebrow is up this time, which makes my cheeks fire up with an unbearable heat. Dandy's face softness a little. She must have noticed my redness. This can't be any more embarrassing. As last time she looks down at my hand on my schedule. I smile softly as I hand it over to her. She takes it lightly, but watch it with her usual tense eyes. Then she walks past me and I followed her like last time. She moves very gracefully and slows so I can manage to keep up with her. Dandy turns her head carefully to watch me. I don't know, but the look in her hazel eyes tells me that she seems a little amused by me. God, the scary girl thinks I am funny. I smile to myself. It's a nice compliment from her, even though she said nothing. The look in her eyes is enough for me to know she means well. I guess I just have to read her facial expression and body language to see what she means. Since she does not speak. I don't know why she is so quiet. She does not seem shy or anything, but maybe, she just doesn't like to talk to people. Dandy stops in front of me very lightly. I have noticed that she moves easily. Not just not on her feet, but her whole body. It's all just kindness, and I don't understand how others cannot see that. Maybe they are too frightening to really look at her. The way I do. "Thank you." I smile very brightly, and she nodded slowly like last time. "But, won't you be late for your own class?" I ask for no use because she just stands there watching me the same way as always. But I don't care as I keep on talking. "You are probably the kindest person in this whole school." I smile, but still nothing. No change in her face. "I think I need you the rest of the year, just to show me where to go." I tell her, and she is still just as steady as a statue. "Are you always this serious?" I wonder now because I don't care if I offend her or not. I just want to know how to make her talk to me or show something else than this sad look of hers. Her eyes drift down to the note in her hand and then give it back to me again. I take it slowly out of her hand with a smile. "Thank you, a lot." I tell her and she nods the same way. Then she steps pass me to her own class, in silence.
