Bloodline?
Going out to Loki, I got onto his back and set back off to my castle. The cool air hit my face while the wounded look in Aurelia's eyes haunted me. Shaking my head, I was desperate to forget that look.
"I need to steel my heart. I need to forget whatever pull she has. She's my enemy. Her bloodline killed my family out of greed, but maybe, things could work out in my favor if I kept her close."
With a nod, I spent the rest of my ride home locking up whatever feelings I had for Aurelia. I needed to not have anything interfere with my revenge.
"Ysmira, I haven't forgotten my promise, my love. I will avenge you and our children. Aurelia won't prevent me from fulfilling my promise to you. I thought that, maybe, she was… no, that's silly. I love you, Ysmira. I'll always love you.
