As the Time is now

A long time had passed since I had made the werewolf—hundreds and hundreds of years. The year was now 2010, and a lot had changed. I did have to make a stronger wolf. I called them a lycan. I made them more in my image and thus more powerful and with much longer lives than the average wolf. Larger in the body, the ability to stand on two legs when in wolf form, faster healing, heightened senses, faster and stronger in every way than a normal wolf. It would turn out that they were descended from me directly. In wolf form, they could walk on two legs, with bigger fangs and even stronger than you could imagine. They were considered royalty among werewolves and became their kings and queens. At first, they resided in England, which had large and extravagant castles and halls. They held much power and were well respected. However, the wolves began to go to the United States when the states began to be colonized. Well, wait, let me explain a little more first. I had made many different types of changers and magical creatures. Bears being one…… "Well, I guess I didn’t make them, but I did help since I was the first to make a changeling. Just as I was made of the moon by the light gods, so too were many other beings. They, too, were tasked with making beings in their image. After all this, the area I had started was overrun with so many different types of beings that my wolves had difficulty establishing and keeping territories. The pups couldn’t run, grow, or learn. Disease and death were happening all over in the human world, and the woods were getting smaller and smaller as they began to lay claim to them. So my wolves made the long voyage across the sea to the new lands and began to claim territories. Soon, the area of North America was claimed entirely. A large war broke out, and order was needed. So the Lycans came and settled in Canada and created peace and harmony. Not all was well and good, though. The first king decided to take too much power and needed to be stopped. So his son challenged him for the title and killed him. Once he had taken the title, he put in many proper check and balance systems to help make sure that no other king could do what his father did. For the most part, this worked. I mean, with anything, you will have a few snags or hiccups, but they do try to take care of these as they arise. Now I see what you're wondering: How are these people your descendants? Well, I guess I can let it slide this time. You see, after over 700 years of planning the lives of others and their fates, along with watching the epic love tales and sagas unfold, I began to want some of that for myself. As a goddess, I sometimes create lives and love for others. I need to experience it and ensure all the kinks are worked out. I know the logistics seem off, but I thought of everything after a few trials and errors. Egypt wasn’t made in a day, ya know. Well, I do… my people made it. Also, they made Sodom and Gomorrah, but I digress. The story I'm about to tell you isn't my first venture to the earth, but it is one of my favorites. Something else you may be thinking is “If you create the fates of all the wolves and their loves and lovers wouldn't you going down to earth and trying to live that life kind of be like playing whack a mole with a clear board that they pop out of ?” and to that, I'd say yes. Yes, it is. And because of that, I had many problems even trying it. Eventually, I came up with a good plan. You see, I already have more than enough mates and fates planned and ready to go. All I have to do is randomly pick one. The next part is tricky, but I'll try to explain it. So I make a copy of myself and make it into my wolf. I made a Lycan copy and a Wolf copy. Why? Well, hold on. I then choose a female fate at random and put myself into it once the child is conceived. Now, no fate has a soul until it's born. I have to send it in at the time of birth, so I'm not taking a life away from anyone. I can claim it for myself and mark the vessel as mine. Once that's done, I tag my wolves to it so they will be brought with it. Once that's done, I set up…. a spell for lesser terms that will alert me that I'm about to be transferred into the body in 10 minutes. Once that happens, I lie down in my chambers in the afterlife. Once I fall asleep, I begin to enter the body slowly. As my soul enters the body, my memories slowly fade away. By the time I'm born, I will not know who I am or what I can do, nor will my wolves. You can see why I make copies of both forms now. I have no idea what I will be, so I need to have each one ready. Now, my memories aren't gone forever. They stay with my body, if you can call it that. Your next question may be, "Well, what if you die ?" Well, I die. It's as simple as that. My consciousness is put back into my body, and I continue. A copy of that soul and the wolf go into the afterlife to spend eternity with their mates, but that's because it's just cruel to leave someone alone forever after feeling the most genuine love of all. Anyway, so yes, if I die, I die. If it is poison, torture, or murder, it doesn't matter. I live an everyday life—all of it. My being the moon goddess does not transfer. I mean, I may have a few powers like that to heal, or maybe something like that. The only reason is that no matter what I do or try, I can not truly change my form. My wolf looks like my real wolf, and my human looks like me. So what ends up being said is that I am the reincarnated version of the moon goddess. My line must have the moon goddess's genes from when she came down and gave birth to the first lycan and created royalty. That was my first try to join them, and it didn’t work out so well. It's a story for another time. Like I said before, this story is one of my favorite times on earth. My human is Tamera, and my wolf is Celest. I know I'm on the nose for a celestial wolf, but I didn't choose the name. The wolf does. The thing to remember about a wolf is that, well, plain and simple, they are an animal. They have instincts. Deep down, they can feel that they are something special—something strong and out of this world. Sometimes, this can lead to a very full-of-themselves wolf, especially if the human is a little on the meeker side. It's all about balance. Ugh, I'm rambling now. So, let's get to the story, okay? We will begin by setting the scene. The pack is located deep in the not-so-frozen north of Alaska. It's called "Misty Horizon," a little less well-known fact. Much of the southern part of Alaska isn't an icy tundra. It's a rainforest—no, no, not a tropical one. It's called a temperate rainforest—the Tongass National Rainforest, to be exact. The capital, Juneau, is carved out by a glacier and rests against the ocean's coast. They have little Black bears, a small pack of grey wolves, ravens, Eagles, otters, seals, porcupines, tiny black-tailed deer, and beaver—a lovely, diverse array of life. The seasons tend to be temperate. Large coniferous trees make up a large portion of the forest. The air is usually thick and humid, and it rains most of the year. Moss clings to most surfaces. Fog often rolls in from the mountain peaks as the midnight dew is warmed by the touch of the sun's morning rays. It settles into the valley as the sun slowly descends, awakening the animals and people as they begin their days. Coffee shops are bustling with eager patrons as early as 4:00 a.m. Stores and local shops open their doors at 8:00 and 9:00 sometimes 10:00. Cars drive on the roads as people hurry on their way, concerned with their lives and the day to day. Now, Juneau hasn't always had a werewolf population. but it did turn out to be the perfect spot for this pack. You see, Juneau is ocean and land locked. the only way in is by boat or by plane. you could come in across the ice fields behind the mountains, but I mean...... come on. That's dangerous and uncalled for. Deep up the mountain past the prison miles away from civilization rests the Misty Horizon pack. With them being so secluded its easy for them to do normal wolf things and not catch the eye of the townspeople. They aren't the only pack to reside in Alaska, far from it. They aren't even the only pack to reside in Juneau. Each pack has territories in the forest and considers the town to be communal grounds that are free to every pack. It's just too small to really fight over. I won't go too far into detail on this. You'll learn all about it soon enough. so what are we waiting for ! Let's get this party started !
