ZAC The air was heavier than usual with silence as I tossed the last of our bag into the trunk. No one said a word. It was almost like a pact we had signed. That no one was allowed to speak. My brothers remained behind me like silent shadows, their faces a tight blend of worry and anger and something else I didn’t have a name for.
