"You still haven't told me, what the heck was that about, Stephanie?" I asked as we settled on my bed, hours after that crazy experience in the woods.
Stephanie barely looked at me. Her eyes remained on the ceiling as if she was seeing things up there that I couldn't.
And as I thought about it, I realized, she had been like this ever since we came back. And it was starting to scare me.
"Steph?" I called, my voice went softer.
She shifted on the bed, but she still didn't reply.
