Once the boys finished briefing me on the mission, I returned outside to inform Stephanie.
She was still glowing from her so-called ‘Beach Boys escapades’ when I met up with her. She was lounging on one of the pool chairs, wearing her oversized sunglasses like she was the queen of the coast.
“Stephanie,” I called in a small voice as I pulled a chair close to hers.
“Oh Amber, you have no idea…” she sang, completely oblivious to what I was about to say.
Without even looking at me, she continued;
