AMBER I blinked hard as the last trace of light faded behind me, swallowed by the tunnel I had just walked through. My chest rose and fell too fast, my heartbeat still hammering in my ears after what I had faced. I wanted to shove the memory into the furthest part of my mind, to pretend it had never happened, but the memory lingered on in my head. However, there was also relief.
