“Stephanie is her guardian?” I blurted, still trying to wrap my head around it.
“How? I’m a little confused… since when did an ordinary omega suddenly have a guardian?”
Jamie didn’t respond at first. He just leaned forward with both elbows on his knees, rubbing his hands together like he was trying to get rid of a feeling he couldn’t shake. Then he looked at my furrowed brows;
“First off, you need to understand that Amber isn’t ordinary in any way.” He began in a low voice. “And Stephanie didn’t exactly admit that she is Amber’s guardian."
My brows deepened even further. “So you are saying you got to this conclusion based on what exactly?”
“I confronted her earlier today and she slipped. Not with clear words but from her body movements and actions.”
