So as everyone moved to the parking lot, I pretended to still be busy with schoolwork. I fixed my eyes on the pages like the words could jump out at any moment— and I had to catch them.
As students kept trickling out of the building, my heart drummed faster with anxiety— and the residue from the rush of pleasure that happened in that place.
