And though we’d pieced together what Amber had told us, none of us were confident that everything was going to go as planned. So we did the only thing we could. We hid it under thick and multiple layers of clothing. By the time we got to school, it was like an unspoken pact had been sealed between us. No one had said it out loud, but we all understood: whatever had happened at the party, whatever bond had been cemented, would stay behind closed doors
