The prolonged silence was starting to piss me off.
I tapped my fingers against the cold marble of the library table, eyes scanning the open communication screen again.
But there was still nothing.
There were no messages from Toby. None from Amber nor Stephanie.
“They should’ve checked in by now,” Ethan said, without even looking at me. He was standing by the arched window with his arms folded. His wolf was already pacing as he looked towards the east wing. “This isn’t like we planned.”
