JAMIE The prolonged silence was starting to piss me off. I tapped my fingers against the cold marble of the library table, eyes scanning the open communication screen again. But there was still nothing. There were no messages from Toby. None from Amber nor Stephanie. “They should’ve checked in by now,” Ethan said, without even looking at me.
