Story Idea
Ella Lawson, a diligent secretary, is forced into an arranged marriage with her emotionally distant billionaire boss, Damien Sterling. Despite her efforts, she faces emotional neglect from Damien and cruelty from his controlling mother. Damien’s manipulative mother, Eleanor, makes Ella’s life miserable, abusing and humiliating her at every turn. To make matters worse, Damien’s ex-lover, Ava, returns claiming to have his child. After the death of Ella’s mother and Damien’s neglect, Ella decides to leave him, filing for divorce. She then meets her first love again, Jake. However, as Ella uncovers shocking family secrets, she discovers a conspiracy within the Sterling family. Damien’s uncle, Richard, had schemed with Ava to destroy Damien and take over the family empire with her first love, Jake.
After discovering this plot, Ella is shattered; she had trusted her ex-lover, who was wealthy, so she had no idea why he would do this. She gathered evidence and showed it to Damien, and with this, Damien was able to save his company. Jake claimed he wanted to destroy Damien out of love for Ella. Richard claimed he and Ava had always been in love and had been deceiving Damien, asserting that he should be the CEO of the company as it was his birthright. Ella and Damien started to have feelings for each other during this period, and Damien had to beg Ella for a second chance.

Exposition:
Ella Lawson works tirelessly as the efficient secretary of Damien Sterling, CEO of Sterling Enterprises. She’s dedicated, professional, and kind, but her life takes an unexpected turn when she is forced into an arranged marriage with Damien due to family pressure. After Ava left Damien, Damien's father asked him to go on different blind dates because he was tired of them. He had an agreement with his secretary for marriage, and she accepted. Eleanor, Damien’s controlling mother, never liked Ella from the start; she wasn’t up to her standards, so she maltreated Ella at every opportunity.
From the beginning, Ella’s new life in the Sterling Mansion is a nightmare. Eleanor constantly humiliates her, finding fault with everything Ella does, from how she dresses to how she speaks. Eleanor takes control of the household, forcing Ella to cook, clean, and do demeaning chores despite the house being filled with servants. Damien stands by, cold and indifferent, more focused on his work than his new wife.
Ella is emotionally neglected, trapped in a loveless marriage, and she suffers in silence as Eleanor continues to torment her. Damien, distracted by his empire and unresolved feelings for his ex-lover, Ava, leaves Ella to fend for herself against his mother’s cruelty. Despite the abuse, Ella remains determined to survive, but she feels utterly alone in her gilded prison. Ella has always wanted Eleanor to like her, so she did everything she asked for, but she never met her standards.
