"What the hell?" I say out loud

I slowly open my eye's and realise it's must be morning, was that my phone? Eye's feel sore from being sleep depreived. Defo gonna need to use my eye drops today, not going to sleep with dry eye's all day.

Reaching over for my phone to see who was messaging me, my whole body is sore. I'm guessing with the stress of everything and with what happened last night /early this morning.

I am thankful that jax was at the door when the stranger came to my building, I still don't know why he came over. But i'm very thankful, maybe I should get him something as a thank you.

I wonder what a guy like him would like, possibly a whisky. I'll see what I can find when I go grab some bits for tonight.

Looking at my phoneand see that I have messages from Angel, Liz and a unknon number. I bets start with Angelsr she will kill me.

"Hey girl, heard what happened last night. You okay? Lord Phillip came to me as I arrived"

"Hey yeah i'm okay, how did the police not notice somene coming towards the building from the forest"

​​​​​Now to check what Liz has sent.

"Yout alive? Hope your okay , come to the kitchen when your awake"

"I wont be long"

I get up and get myself washed and dressed, looking into the mirror I look like a ghost of myself. Pale and some how loss of weight from just a few days, how even is that possible. The stress is definitely getting to me now. Tonight can;t come fast enough.

Looking at the time and I can't believe it's only 9am, I was ment to sleep in but that wont happen. I will be drinking laods tonight to forget about this week that I can promise. I best get my butt into the kitchen and see the gang, or they will all be breaking down my door.

Grabbing my jacket and keys then remembered that my close need taking out the washer and into the dryer. I quickly put them in to dry and ill get them out after to iron and set up for tonight, finally heading out. I decided to leave my curtains closed and windows locked.

I'm going to be all paranoid again, I haven't missed being like this. Always looking over my shoulder and scared to leave the bed never mind the house. I wont let that happen again, there's people around me this time and luckily I have the big hunks nearby as well.

Taking a slow walk as I will not show fear or defeat to anyone and if anyone is watching thye will know that i'm not scared by them. I look like s**t but I wont let anyone think they have anythinover me or show they they have beat me. I'm wearing a basic bagy top with skinnyjeans and high top converse with a lumber's jacket and my hair in a pony tail.

No point being al dressed up when i'll be going out later on, plus if I check over any rooms before any arrivals. Don't really want to get blech on any of my nicer clothes.

"Hey good to see your out" Jax say's as I turn the corner

I scream slightly while jumping out my skin.

"You made me jump" I say catching my breath

Looking up at him ad seeinhe has a smal grin on his face.

"Not funny I could of had a heart attack" I say with a stern tone

"Okay it's not funny and I wouldn't giev you a heart attack, it's impossible" He replies still witha grin

"Your a d**k you know that right? Who scares a women whos had people trying to break into her place twice in the same week" I ask him bluntly

"Oooo such a potty mouth, think we need to fix that. I'm sorry didnt mean to scare you" Jax say's now wth some remorse in his tone

"You will fix nothing about me, I like the way I am and if you don't then thats a you problem" I say back

"I do love it when your cheeky" Jax say's with lust in his eye's

"What can I do for yo u?" I ask trying to look away form his eye's

"Just wanted to see how you was, I stayed awake most of the nigth but Cain forced me to rest and taking over in making sure you was safe" Jax replies truthfully.

As I look up at him a he speaks, for some reason I cant tell when hes being truthful form his eye's. I can read him like it's nothing. It's weird and that pull towards him is strong, if i'm honest it's like the books I read. About wolf's and their mate bonds, the way they describe it is how I feel right now.

I have the erge to touch him and be with him all the time, it's like he was made for me and I was made for him. I can read him like a book by his eye's and his body language, I look away form his eye's as I know I could get lost in them. As I look away I look down without realising it and I can see the out line of a bulge in his trousers, I lick my lips.

Why did I do that? He looks so big, dam any women but be lucky to be with him thats for sure. They would never be disappointed, I look away before he notices. That would be embarrassing and I don;t want him thinking anything of the sort, even though it's turning me on really bad.

"I best get inside before they send out a search party for me" I say trying to get my mind from wondering about things.

" I'll wak you" Jax say's with a slight grin

It's almost like he knows something, it's strange and it's puzzling me.

"I'ts okay I can walk myself ya know" I say back

"One it's you know not ya know, two I am walking you and finally three I need to know your safew okay. Don't ask why just let me make sure yoyr safe" Jax say's trying not to sound worried

I stare at him and we get into a stare contest, fightuing dominance with each other. After about 3 minutes I finally give in letting him win this one by giving him a nod and sighing.

"Glad we settled that one" He say's with triumph in his tone

I stay quite not having th energy to fight him right now, i'm too tired and stressed with everything that has happened. We walk the rest of the way in silence till we reach the back door to the kitchen.

"Thank you" I say not looking at him

"What for?" Jax asks

"Everything" I say still looking at the door

"Your welcome, I'll see you later" Jax say's

"Maybe" I say turning to him, giving him a small smile

"Go get some food" He say's with a small smile back before turning and walking away

I already miss his body being nearby, how can I miss him just being near me? What is wrong with me lately. I watch him as he walks away back towards his room, I need to pull myself together.

Once he is out of my sight I head inside and get greeted by Liz first as Mark is staring at me from the sink.

"Hey guys, i'm okay" I say with a smile while Liz squeeze's the life out of me

"I know, but it's was twice in one week. It's scary" Liz replies fianlly letting go

"I'm okay, he was caught" I say back

"What was the prick doing at your' anyway?" Mark asks

"He knocked onbecause he heard a noise, that's all" I say as I know he's gonna go all big bro on me

"Is that all? I don't trust him okay" Mark ask's

"I know don't worry, i'm fine" I say trying to reassure him

We look at each other and I tell him with my eye's

"Okay, at least they caught him more then the police did. How did they miss it?" Mark say's annoyed

"I wondered the same thing, i'll speak with angel" I say

"Oh don't need to, I messaged her and she will be here in a moment" Liz say's

Well that saves time and energy, at least I can sit eat some food and relax. Well at least for abit anyway, I head to my spot by the door where a few stool are and get a seat.

"Here you go" Liz say's as she places a plate infront of me filled with egg's, bcon, sausages, beans and mushrooms

My mouth automatically waters just from looking at it.

"You guy are the best! This looks amazing" I say back to both of them

"heres your coffee and toast" Mark say's as he places them both down

"You both spoil me" I say staring at the food

"Well tuck in then, you need to eat" Liz say's

"I'm here, now what can I eat" Angel say's as she walks in

We all look at her and smile.

"Well thats an entrance for sure" I say after swollowing my first bite

"Well what can I say, I like to make an entrance" Angel says as she sits next to me

"Clearly" liz say's back handing her a plate as well

Both mark and Liz grab a plate too and we all sit andeat some food together, it's nice when we do this. It's not often but when we do it's nice. We all spend christmas together normally here as there's plenty of room for us and Angel's husband and kids.

We are like a little family, Angel is the mum, her husband is the dad and we are the kids. Well mark is like a uncle and big brother to me and Liz. But I know he love's her more then that, but wont act on it. But one dayI will make him, he is the only one good enouh for her.

"So how you feeling?" Angel finaly ask's

"I'm okay, tired and feel like i've been hit by a truck" I reply truthfully

"I'm not suprised, you've had a s**t week. Are you still going out tonight?" Angel asks's

"Yeah I think I need it after what's happened. A night out will do me some good" I say back taking a sip of my coffee

"I agree, a night out. some drinks, music and dancing is what the docor has ordered for you thats for sure" Liz replies

"Same" Mark say's in response

"Well looks like everyone agree's, I need a night out. Some fun and laughter, Liz you should come" I say back to them all

"I think I will, could do with some fun. I'll bring Mark" Liz say's

We all laugh and look at poor Makrk, looks like a deer in headlights, he doesnt go out like ever. So this will be fun and needed.

"I think I might join you, but wont be drinking just in case" Angel say's

"That sounds amazing, full team night out at the barn will be good" I say

"Well that ssettled, the night staff should be alright. Even if everyone doesn't drink it'll be good" I say

We all agree and finish up the food before Angel get's a call from some at HQ, she signals us as she answers the phone and heads back to the offic. I grab our plates and start washing up, while Liz and Mark crack on prepping the foo for lunch and see what to do for dinner later.

See our nights put consist of a few drinks, abit of fun as th ebarn closes fairly early due to people working and the fact of we party but like to be in bed fairly early. No one stay's out late as we are hard working people, plus we just don't like bing out late.

Everyone needs a night of fun but not all te time, here we like to be in bed by 10pm and get at least 8 hours sleep if we can. May seem boring to some but to us it's how we like it.

Once i'm done with dishes ai say later to my fav people and head to the main desk check for mail and see whos checking in and out today. That way I know which rooms ned sorting, I like to keep on top of the work and make sure that we are all running smooth.

My mail is basic stuff so i'll take that to my office and go through it better later, so I concentrate on the check in's and out's. Writing a list of rooms I need to check over and and the ones I can help clean the ones that need it. I like turn overs to be quick and easy.

I do my best along with a few pthes to keep this place running smooth, plus we like to make it so people want to come back. Since helping Angel get this place into shape, her anual reviews are always amazing. Angel only took over almost 2 years ago and it was in bad shape, the staff was lazy and it was prooly run and maintained.

Now its in the top 5 best run in the company, its something we are very proud of here. Plus the team we have now have all come from rough back grounds but wanted to prove theycan do better so we offered that chance. Like what Angel did for me, she gave me a chance and I made soemthing for myself.

I crack on with the room and checking supplies to see what will need ordering and what needs replacing.
